I'm going to experience life away from the computer for a bit before I become addicted to another game.

But I am looking into Cars Online.

I'm over Runescape, Maplestory. And Soon VMK.
So I will stick with Diablo2

Since I've played all of them, and haven't been able to stick with one like VMK, and because my parents won't let me pay to play

I choose that i'm going to take a break from the computer
maybe this summer i'll go outside, jump on my trampoline, play my wii, and maybe even write a book..

Maplestory and Toontown are the biggest games other then VMK. I play them both.

NONE! VMK is my game :( The other games are boring and you gotta pay! I can't pay! Even the free trials are boring if you don't pay! :(

I don't need time to get over it.

I only played the game because it was designed after the parks and had to do with all things Disney. Not just pirates or fairies or any other limited interest area.

I have tried POTCO and did not like it.
I have interest in any other games simply because there is no Disney Magic involved in any other game.

The only reason I really joined VMK is because I thought it would help me get more information on the Disney parks. I'm going back to the Disney and Theme Park websites although I might give a look at the cars thing if it is free because I would never pay for any of these games.

Plus, I really just want to hang out with my friends this summer because me and most of my friends are home for all or most of the summer which is very rare (I might be going on a small trip but that is it). Also, Runescape and Maplestory are games for nerds and most of the kids who play it get made fun of severely so I would never even think of trying that. Neopets is for the 10 and under group along with Webkinz and Club Penguin. I would probably consider POTC and Toontown if they were free.

I play toon town (a busy competitive win fight win game) and I started a penguin to see if it works to keep on contact with friends.

Someone said there's a build a bear on-line that is similar to VMK. So much to check out! Ironically, I'm having to use a non-family-friendly side to keep in touch with my VMK friends until we all figure out what to do.

I will say that I tried Habbo today...............shame on me!

I can now say i HATE it. It was awful to see everyone cussing, because Habbo lets you say what you want. It almost made me cry to think that a family game like VMK has to close but things like Habbo stay open!

I will check out Faries and Cars if they free. Yes i said faries. I don't care. I will sream it to the world. I AM a TINKERBELL FAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 'phew

POTC...I've pretty much done everything I could on the free trail. Around then maybe I'll pay for it, but VMK was always the best.

This is an interesting list at this moment, 71 out of 127 said their loyalty is to VMK, maybe Disney will see this, and give them a hint ;).

I have looked at the other games Disney offers and won't be joining any of them. If Disney goes through with closing VMK, I will have to see what other games that are similar to VMK are on the internet.

toontown seems like the closest one to vmk...

Ill mostly just be on and off games like MAYBE runescape.. it got really bad since i left the game several months ago..

Tribal Wars at the moment is a game i play more than others..

Nothing can compare to VMK. Not really happy with Disney right now so I probably won't be playing any Disney games. Besides, I don't want to play a game where you have to kill things. I don't want to be a penguin or a fairy or a pirate. Our little VMK avatars seem like real little people and I like that.

My loyalty is to VMK. There is no other mutli-player family orientated game out there. I will no longer support Disney Online gaming due to their decision to close VMK. My POTC account has been cancelled and I will NOT renew Toontown when it expires.

Yep, I am with MadameCat. I want a game that replicates Disneyland and Walt Disney World in a virtual manner.

Not all those other games. If VMK closes, I am finished with Disney Online. The same with my 6 neices and nephews. I want VMK only!

I agree with some of the previous comments. VMK is unique in that it is a virtual microcosm of the park. Anyone who enjoys that experience and atmosphere is going to be less than enthusiastic for any of the Disney Online Game choices. All of which, try to draw you into a single immersive theme. Basically, they are telling you that's Walt's vision is wrong. Walt recognized that people have a variety of interests and created a place where everyone in the family could find things that were fun and enjoyable. That is why he created the Magic Kingdom, not Adventure World, Fantasy World, Frontier World or Tomorrow World. VMK, like the Magic Kingdom, has something for everyone in the Family to enjoy. If you tire of being a pirate you can chase ghosts, shoot some fireworks, enjoy a jungle cruise, play some checkers or just hang out with friends. None of Disney's other Virtual Worlds has the variety of VMK. While each may be fun to a certain extent I doubt that any one of them will be able to hold the interest of the entire Family. Walt Disney Internet Group (WDIG) has a vision (or lack of) that is very much different from Walt's. One of them is right, I personally have to go with Walt's version. For this reason I don't intend to support any of their other gaming options. If they choose to recreate VMK, and modify it to address any concerns that they have, I will be willing to try it even if it is a pay to play version.

VMK was my very first online game experience so as far as Disney games go I am loyal to VMK. I have tried TT,POTC (one month sub almost up)and I am not even interested in Cars or Fairies. Bah!

I have searched many online games and none compare. They are limited in their stories, activities, or are too linear for my taste. VMK has spoiled me. IF I spend more money on a game it will not be with Disney. I'll be back in WOW soon enough.

I am a multi-tasker, so I will be on VMK for as long as it is open; if they decide to keep it open, then I will stay on.

I have signed on for Gaia Online, and it's pretty cool; I like it. I'm also signed up for the beta for that "other site", you know what I mean.

None of the choices listed--I'm not a pay-to-play member of club penguin, i stopped playing webkinz, not allowed to play ruinscape, potc makes my computer slow...
I think I'll just look forward to the new 'online worlds' hoping that when they come out Disney wont make us pay to play.

I think I'm playing Toontown after VMK closes no doubt ITS NOT EVEN HALF AS FUN AS VMK, but im playing hopeing too see some VMK FRIENDS :)

Hollywood Studios: R2-D2, Kermet the Frog, The Red Power Ranger, Ariel, Sorcerer Mickey (Fantasmic)


Animal Kingdom: The EVEREST Yeti (don't make him look TOO scary,) Simba, The Iguanadon, Flik, Rafiki


Another thing they could do for a Virtual Hollywood Studios, is make the Music Mix lobby be by Rock n Rollercoaster. and instead of a DJ table, you play a guitar like Aerosmith.

A Star Tours mini game would be cool, you'd get to do what Rex does in the Star Tours ride. and try not to crash into any Oil Trucks.

I think they should make a Virtual Hollywood Studios first if they get rid of VMK. either that or Virtual Animal Kingdom, either one has a lot of good ideas, Epcot, er... not so much. I think I should make a post of this if i want to talk more about this. but still, tell me what you think about these ideas! I might make more!

I've played Toontown for... four years, I think, so I would go there too.

If the Cars & Fairies thing is any good... I guess I'll try those... They sound cheesy, but Disney usually comes up with something good. :)

Honestly, i would go no where near anything that is not Disney. Once you've tried a Disney game, you just can't leave em'!
