I have played this game and made alot of friends... i would hate to see them just go away... :( and um... this game has actually taught me how to type better because you can't say pretty much anything else, and of course how to spell it right because without knowing that you can't type much on vmk... Why- VMK is a fun place where I don't have to worry about anything accidently seeing or hearing something bad. I don't live near, nor can I afford, going to any of the parks, so VMK is the closest thing I have to going to Disney World. I know you said that you will be introducing new games, but that doesn't change the fact that you are taking VMK away from us. You say it was never meant to last this long, but it did. I am permanently disabled and playing this game allows me to keep my mind off the pain! I have made friends here and worked hard going to the park to get stuff which was not easy for me to do. I love playing this game bc it makes me feel like I am at Disneyland when I am not able to get there. I don't like toon town or potc its not like VMK at all! I used to play neo pets and sims and wanted a virtual game that I could play that was Disney and yeah we got VMK. I enjoy playing this and can feel the magic and like I am there in the park when I am not able to get there being disabled its not easy to. Please don't take this away from me, its the only entertainment I have! I will even pay to play this game if I have to, I love this vmk world so much better and I don't think Walt Disney would be to happy that if you have so many unhappy people to take this away. I think he would say this is a good place and nice environment for kids so keep it! You want to be all about money fine, I am sure if you make this a paid game like toon town you will have more people playing this than any other game and make money and I don't think its fair to have had us spend money at the park and then take this away from us. I am a huge Disney fan. I go to the parks, buy the merchandise and the movies. Well, last year I discovered the wonderful world of the Virtual Magic Kingdom. I have met wonderful people, and enjoy going to escape from the reality of life. It is an escape from the war and crime that are rampant in today's society. Needless to say, I was distraught to hear tonight that VMK will be closing at the end of May. Please reconsider this decision!

I realize that there has been a lot of negative reaction to the pirate quest that was recently held. For every person who has complained or vowed to quit the game, there are others who have continued. I will admit, I was one of the lucky winners. I have been giving away dream ears to my friends, and stuff to random strangers. Disney is about making dreams come true. I am not naive, so I know no one will probably even read this. But I hope that someone does, and that you will not take this away from us all. In the announcement posted on the VMK website, it said something about moving on to new and better things. Well, I agree that is a part of life. But we need to remember the words of Walt Disney himself: "I love the nostalgic myself, I hope we never lose some of the things of the past." Please save VMK!

I've met such great friends for three years on vmk. They are so generous to others and we've spent so much time hanging out together in vmk. You can't just say, " Its like your moving to a new school just like you graduated." Here's the thing that Yavn doesn't understand, there are some friends that you do keep in contact even though you move or graduate. Through vmk I've learned that there are good people out there. Not to mention my typing skills has improved abundantly. Its a positive safe place for young and old to come together as one. Its a virtual disney parks, that satisfy those who can't go to the parks in real life or inspire to come. Its really not fair how we work so hard for three years on gaining credits and earning stuff and everything will just diminish on May 21st. Well it's quite obvious why VMK can't close. Look at all these sad players, including me! After about 2 years of playing it has become a hobby. I meet lots of new friendly people every day! And that's just one of the thousands of reasons why you shouldn't close VMK.
Another quite important reason is that some people just visited Disney for having VMK-stuff. Including booking a night in the Disney hotel for that famous Stitch Hat Ö!
I will definitely miss VMK, no doubt about that.

1. It's the only virtual online game(disney or not) that is actually a virtual world. the only game that's not about fighing!!

2. we all have made very close friends, and none of us want to lose friends!

3. alot of people don't have friends in real life, and don't have very good lives, so they have vmk instead. I bet that some people might be so lost without vmk that they might hurt themselves.

4. people who can't go to WDW or DLR or any disney parks go to vmk instead.

5. we would be willing to pay! I know I'd pay! I'd probably play 100 for this virtual home.

6. if it wasn't for vmk, I wouldn't be who I am today! vmk was the only thing that stopped me from being so shy. And vmk taught me how to spell!

Vmk should not be closing! Cmk has brought me out of my shell. I used to be a shy little girl seeking a way for me to show the true me without being judged. Now that i have found it you are gonig to take it away? That is not my only reason for not closing vmk my other is that you take all of this time to fix all these glitches and make all of these new things why just throw it all away now?? It is a waste of time and money if you just throw it away. This place has been like a second home for me and now i feel that all of the players should have a say in it if vmk should close or not. This just doesnt make sence to me. Please vmk OH PLEASE dont close so many people love this it is going to be devistating for alot of people for this. Some people have even played real money NOT vmk credits for the things they have and others spent hard working hours maknig credits to buy the newest items that are out. All of these hours spent playing this game are gonig to waste. If vmk does close i only have one thing to say and i am sorry if it sounds mean but you guys have wasted hours apon hours of ALL of vmks players time leading us on saying of vmk wont last for ever but giving us new stuff and making us think that it is gonig to. I am sad to see VMK closing but enough with the Petitions. The Petions will not help. Disney decided to close the game and that is final. We are just kids. We can't do anything aboout it. They are adults.

There is a "Save VMK" site that already has over 2,000 signatures - including some hosts. And, ask anybody who's been here long enough - the majority of VMK are LEGAL adults (Meaning they're over 18!)

VMK helps keep disney dreams inside all of us. The magic of playing a virtual game, buying virtual items, but making real friends truly magical. This game i play everyday when i get home from school and (on saturdays) as soon as it opens just because it brings me that much joy to get away from 1 world and enter another where people dont judge me by the way I look but truly who I am. People say "Disney is for kids" well, I'll have you know, Disney is for kids AND adults of all shapes and sizes, it brings out the little kid in all of us. Sometimes don't you want to enter a place of fun, friends, and Disney? The BEST place in the world for that was VMK. You dont need to travel to Florida, California, Hong Kong, Tokyo, or Paris. Just a computer, a mouse, a keyboard, and an imagination.

I just want to say, this most likely will not work. VMK is not going to be funded by Disney anymore. The promo ended. That means VMK ends. It is sad, but it is better off. I think people will have a free summer now, at least.

With VMK I could take a mini-vacation to WDW every day of the year. Now when VMK closes I will just have to look at pictures, and maybe catch an episode of Disney on the travel channel every once and a while, I won't be able to experience that "Magic" of Disney, that VMK gave me every day.

Why: Because we've spent hundreds of hours of time and energy playing and enjoying VMK. Why should you throw it all away? Ending VMK to encourage people to move to other Disney games, such as Club Penguin and Pirates Online, will not work. VMK is special and unique, and by killing it you will not influence people to move to other Disney games; you will leave VMK players bitter and unhappy. Not a good attitude for potential customers.

Why- VMK is the best place for Disney Fans I know on the net. I've spend a lot of time here, and while the game is unfair and stuff at the moment, I've enjoyed my time here.

VMK title: SparkleMeTink

Why?: For me personally, it was never about the game...it was and always will be about the people. The friendships we have. People mean more than stuff. Yes, the stuff is great, and we worked so hard to acquire it. But, the memories of all of us helping each other acquire the stuff we have...that is priceless! I have even met some of the vmkers, and our friendships will never end. For a lot of us this is an escape from what we deal with in real life on a daily basis. It greatly helps that it is free, but I am willing to pay to play this game. This is part of what Walt wanted...a place for everybody to escape from the real world and be a kid again. I want his dream to continue...i want VMK to continue. Please, help us keep vmk open.

I totally agree with you! How can you guys just quit like that?! We got Disney's attention! This is a good thing! In just three days we got their attention. We have 40 more! This is an awesome start

If they were tired of it they would close the phone lines or even better bring back VMK from closing.
