I just logged into my Disney Movie Rewards account and found that my wishlist was empty. What was on my wishlist? All the VMK items. So I scrolled through the rewards catalog (all 30 pages) and it appears that the VMK promotion is not available. I was just 50 points from Inferno!!! Anybody heard anything about this promotion ending?

Wow, they are gone. I can think of several possibilities. One is that the rewards system was being abused so they were removed. Second, maybe those rewards will be obtainable in some other fashion. Third, it's a mistake. I did use the contact us option about the issue but it could take up to 3 business days to receive an answer.

Interesting. The category for Virtual Magic Kingdom is still under the Rewards list. Maybe the VMK Staff is switching up the Movie Rewards prizes.

I can say they were there yesterday, Enchanted gave me 625 points and was debating what to do with them.

I can't believe they took vmk things out of movie rewards! Does that mean inferno will get it's value back?

Inferno will rise just as fast as it fell. It obviously will not be as rare as it was before, but it will obtain a higher value within months. It's a wanted magic pin and has always been popular; If demand is high and you can only get them from trades- people would do whatever and give whatever if they really want it ;)

Doesn't the newsletter say we would know how to obtain Magic Carpet at the end of this month. Is it a possibility that that is going to be a new reward? I thought it was odd he did not say it would be for sale soon. :Lightbulb:

I think if they were going to sell it, it would have happened a long time ago. To get it from the Disney Movie Rewards would be likely - getting it anyway in VMK would defeat the purpose of putting it off for so long.

VMK probably has not updated their website yet today. The website usually gets updated in the afternoon (ET).

I just looked at the promotions page and it seems that inferno is not there anymore???

for the price of 20 infernos (13,000 Points) u could get an Epiphone Limited Edition Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End-themed G400 guitar from Gibson.
for the price of 9 red stitch hats (4950) u could get a portable dvd player
for the price of 4 red stitch hats (2200) u could get a Tour of The Walt Disney Studios
for 600 points (halfway between red stitch hat and inferno) u could have 8 Disney Enchanted Calls

but to really turn the pain of your loss into a nice thing u could do this:

Bummer. I do believe that all the items (well, for sure inferno) said they were "limited edition prizes" so I guess it was just a matter of time before they disappeared.

Interesting. All of this. I just got Enchanted and was wondering when to put it on. That would be my first DMR. LOL I don't exactly belive in paying so much for a computer game. Even if it is my favorite, VMK.

Too bad this response is not clear as to whether they will never offer items through DMR again or just not those items. I'm afraid it sounds like they will not be offering any VMK rewards.

Don't feel worried. Just think of it this way. If we want to be taken seriously, we must be serious ourselves.

What they also failed to realize, is with the end of VMK, I have no use for that site anymore and have cancelled my membership to it.
