I had that problem yesterday.. it was my internet connection.. it was very slow yesterday...

I've been having the same problem. It started yesterday and is still not working today. I'm not sure what to do 0_O

If you go to contact us choose A black screen pops up and they'll probably show the reasons why thats happening.

I've tried that already and they said to get the latest shock wave program. I downloaded it a bunch of times and it didn't help 0_o

So, you've got dial-up? If that's the case, I would let your computer download the game. It might take a few hours...or more. (Don't ask me, I didn't play VMK when I had dial-up).

Maybe you have to many things open, trying closing some browsers, the same thing has happened to me.

i don't have dial-up it just stoped loading and green i only have 1 or 2 windows open when loading and playing vmk

Have you tried connecting to the internet some other way? Such as going directly in through Internet Explorer, or Firefox?

i once had this problem on the day they released the main street magic shop so i used contact us and they said that when they add stuff to the game, the black screen tends to happen. hope this helps :):):):)

Today is Day 4! woot woot lets celebrate tomorrow the day of one of my biggest events ever!!!

As of yesterday I am having the same problem. I sign in and the screen goes black and the VMK symbol never appears. I've left it for hours and nothing happens. This seems to have started suddenly with no software or system changes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Explorer and Firefox multiple times and reinstalled shockwave multiple times as well. I am at a loss as to what to do. Hopefully somebody out there knows.

Update:

After trying every combination of uninstalling, reinstalling, and clean installing Shockwave and each of my five different browsers, cleaning the registry, and defragging the computer, I finally decided that I was going to have to back up everything and reinstall Windows. I am happy to say that it worked and I'm back on vmk. Hope that never happens again. Good luck to those of you still having problems.
