I'm mad they made these right after D/P.
Now no one will be on Wifi >.>

They are releasing it in april, so really it's not right after D/P, actually it is more like one year after, and there will always be a lot of people on WiFi. Anyway, I am getting bored of Diamond, so this is a relief for me.

I'm half excited and half not. I was kinda getting bored of my Diamond and Pearl, beat them both with all three starters, but I still need some time to capture all the Pokemon that I can.

Yeah, I'm having trouble beating Primal Dialga...... My partener keeps dying and using a move that misses a lot!

I am Turtwig and partner is Cyndquill.

im going to get this game soon! (i still have not get it yet!)
but on my red rescue team one, i normally use Blaziken,Swampert,Articuno,Zapdos,Moltres,Latios. (the GBA one) and im stuck on silver trench. (im trying to get lugia but it is 99 floors, but my sister passed it once in buried relic, but im not good at the game.)

Lol I use to like Pokemon, but since it said Mystery Dungeon, it kinda seems like a replay of the last ones. Just more people, things, creatures, umm, lol idk what to call Pokemon.

Actually, the new Girantina form is in the new pokemon Diamond and Pearl called Pokemon Platinum.

Sure, Giritina IS a legendary Pokemon. It's a Ghost/Dragon type. The new legendarys are Uxie, Aself, Mesprit, (Which are all Psychic (sp?) types) Dialga (Dragon/Steel), Palkia (Dragon/Water), Hetran (Fire/Steel), Regigigas (Normal), Cresselia (Psychic), Phione (Water), Manaphy (Water), Darkrai (Dark), Shaymin (Grass, new form Grass/Flying), and Arceus (Type pending on which plate it is holding.).

The new Eevee evolutions are a grass type, Leafion, and an ice type, Glacion.

I see you need help beating Dialga. I've beaten him myself, as well as the entirety of the game, save the zero islands and getting all Legendaries(Jirachi is giving me a headache..)

1. Bring reviver seeds. Lots of reviver seeds. Enough to drown in, if possible. :P
2. Bring status seeds, especially X-eye and Blinker seeds.
3. If you can, inflict status with status moves on him, preferably double status, if possible. My starting team was Charmander(me) and Pikachu(partner), so I simply used Smokescreen(perfect accuracy) to make his accuracy minimum, and I set Pikachu's only usable move to Thunderwave. When he had smokescreen effect, I'd attack, and when he was paralyzed, I'd set Pikachu's strongest attack to his only usable move(I strongly recommend that you link moves for this battle..)
4. If you do not have one, bring a Ground or Fighting type attack. Brick Break can be taught to many pokemon, and can really take a chunk out of Dialga's HP.
5. Dialga has a little under 800 HP, so just concentrate on outlasting him rather than taking him down before he takes you down. As I said before, inflict statuses, and hammer him when it's safe. Using stat-lowering moves, especially those that reduce accuracy, are extremely helpful. Using stat-boosting moves is also helpful, if you(or your partner) can give the stat-booster enough of an opening to boost.
6. Do not let up on Dialga, and don't think you're safe just because you're far away, as he can hit the entire tower with Roar of Time. Bringing the seeds, as I said before, can inflict him with blindness/hallucinations, reducing his chances of blasting you with that nasty move.
7. If you or your partner are fire type, let the other pokemon draw Dialga's attacks, as Dialga has Ancient Power, which is rock type.
8. The battle may be slightly chance-based, due to Dialga's Ancient Power having the ability to raise all his stats. If it does, the chances of you winning are extremely low, which makes it even more important to prevent him from attacking. Ancient Power cannot boost his stats if it doesn't hit.
9. If you have a move which can hit from a distance(Hit the entire room or attack as a projectile), and have a move which can slow/stop Dialga's movement, proceed to prevent him from moving/slowing his movements, then slamming him with attacks from a safe distance; but beware of Roar of Time. Roar of Time has only four Power Points, though, so, as I said before, if you can outlast him, victory might be yours.
10. If you have access to the move protect, use it every other turn unless you have to inflict status on Dialga, as it greatly cuts down on how much you need to heal, as well as may guard against the oh-so-devastating Roar of Time.
11. If you are still having trouble beating Dialga, try feeding gummis to either you or your partner(whoever is having the most difficulty) and increasing IQ. Increased IQ gives you IQ skills which can come in handy, such as intimidation(randomly prevents opponent from moving), nonsleeper(prevents sleep, which won't help against Dialga, but will when you're trying to get to him), survivalist(increases the amount food fills your belly), and some nifty CPU assisting IQ skills which won't help the leader, but will help your partner, such as Status Checker(if the opposing pokemon has a status, this pokemon will not use a move that inflicts that status unless the move deals damage), Lava Evader(if the pokemon can move over multiple terrains, it will avoid Lava), etc.

Dialga is actually my favorite pokemon of all time(pun not intended), so go beat him down and restore his sanity. :D
Oh, if you don't have access to seeds, it IS possible to leave Temporal Tower and return to Treasure Town, but if you do, you won't have your partner(name left out due to it's a big spoiler) to help you back to the tower. So bring even more reviver seeds. :P

Not really a note on how to beat him, but after you DO beat him, you can return to temporal tower and beat him again to recruit him, and I highly suggest you do, as he's EXTREMELY strong, and gets an unbelievable IQ Skill at 9.5 Star IQ(which is high), called Time Tripper(always double speed, unless speed is boosted again). Too bad his maximum HP takes a huge drop after you recruit him..

Nah, I never bought anything pokemon related other than red rescue team and ruby (unless it was an unlikey gift or prize) and the others just seemed too repetitive.

Even if I did last year when it seemed a little better, I got no DS, not much of an interest even then in much (is it just me or are cartoons getting worse?), and I would probably just beat it in a week lol.

Btw, does that Deoxys change forms when you get it?

As an answer to the Deoxys question;
It was absolutely free; all you had to do is go down to the event, then download it via mystery gift. You could also change it's forms to whatever you'd like by visiting Veilstone and inspecting the meteorites in the southeast portion of the town when Deoxys is in your party. Too bad the event is over..(but I got one!)

I dislike both Dialga and Palkia, along with the other 3rd gen legendaries. I find that they're all too.. "cyber-technical-looking" with those odd "neon" lines all over them. Ho-oh and Lugia remain my favourite "main" legendaries, while Zapdos is my "secondary" legend.

I lost my copy of Diamond and found it on monday. Missing the event but happy I found it in time for my trip to myrtle beach.

My strategy for battles: Satus effect then head on attacks. Poison or put to sleep and the beat them down. That's my method. Usually start off with a grass type pokemon like Venusaur and then I like to use a water-type. Floatzel is good. Then I finish with my favorite pokemon, Marowak applying that I have it. This is usually never need for I defeat the opponet by Venusaur. In case of emergencys I always have my 100 Duskull

As a quick note to you, Thunderwind, Arceus the #493 Pokemon in the D/P National Pokedex, and it is considered the ultimate Pokemon. It hasn't been officially released yet, but people have found it by using cheat devices. Arceus is extremely strong, although not exceptionally strong in each stat. Consider the comparison between him, Dialga, and Palkia.

Needless to say, he doesn't stand out in the SPATK department, but everywhere else is marvelous. His ability is Multitype, which changes his type and signature move, Judgement(Judgement has the same power as Earthquake, except it's special type and always is Arceus's type, thus it gets Same Type Attack Bonus of 1.5 Damage, thus increasing it's power to 150) to the element of the plate he is holding. If you find an elemental plate(Splash Plate, Draco Plate, etc.), hold onto it in hopes of getting an Arceus through an event.. if he's gonna have one. He suits to many roles if possible, and yes, he can be a Darkrai counter, given the right moveset. Consider this moveset:
Item: Bug Plate or Fighting plate(can't remember their names)
Moves:
1. Judgement
2. Sleeptalk
3. Rest
4. Shadow Ball(if Fighting), Dragon Pulse(if Bug)

Simply absorb Darkrai's Dark Void(more accurate version of Hypnosis, and it hits both enemies in a double battle), then use Sleep Talk to hit it with a Supereffective Judgement.

Arceus is.. EXTREMELY versatile, given it's stats and sheer diversity of moves, only rivaled by Mew and Smeargle. However, Arceus isn't released yet, and I do not have one(I don't use cheating devices, they always mess up my games..), but when he comes out, you'll have to be ready for most any moveset that he carries, as he can suit practically any role.

Now, about the Dialga VS. Palkia argument. We'll put this into ingame terms..
Considering both of their typing, Dialga has the obvious advantage of more resistances than Palkia, as well as having access to powerful supereffective moves against him. Palkia, on the other hand, is faster and can carry Aura Sphere or Earth Power to take a huge chunk out of Dialga's HP. In a battle, they'd be pretty evenly matched, and it depends on how they were trained and what moveset and item they are carrying. Let's look at an imaginary battle between the two:
Palkia uses Aura Sphere! It's super effective! Dialga takes 60% damage.
Dialga uses Draco Meteor/Dragon Pulse! It's Supereffective! Palkia takes 90/ 70% damage.
Palkia uses Aura Sphere! It's super effective! Dialga takes 60% damage. Dialga is KO'd.

This proves that speed can be a great advantage, as well as Palkia has a greater SPDEF. However, if a battle between the two were to ensue, Palkia would be left severely weakened or possibly KO'd, depending on Dialga's move and Palkia's own training.

In non-in-game terms, it seems that the Pokemon company favors Dialga in conflict, and.. I favor him too. :wave2:

Which one are you? Turtwig or Cyndiquil? If your Turtwig, throw stun and sleep seeds continulusly at Dialga and set Cyndiquil's only move as the one with 120 damage, or link that move with another. By doing this, dialga stays still and he takes A LOT of damage.

man quartz is cruddish. the only best hacked game is only shiny gold, even though it still has originally pokemon.

Pretty good strategy, but I'd suggest teaching your Cyndaquil partner Smokescreen(electivire can make him re-learn it), as it is absolutely awesome. It has 100% accuracy, and lowers oppositions accuracy down to minimum; I've only seen an opponent with smokescreen penalty strike twice the entire time I've played. For Turtwig, I'd suggest learning Synthesis, and give your Cyndaquil an Oran Berry. If Dialga manages to strike with Roar of Time, use Synthesis, and Cynadquil will heal with his Berry. Next turn, give another Oran to him, and continue bashing poor Dialga. :D

Advice for getting revivers: Just keep doing missions, and buying them whenever they pop up in the shop. Mostly just do missions that have money + unknown, as you might get something good.
As for you, Brer Nick, try using more status moves that prevent the enemy from attacking, as well as stock up on X-Eye and reviver seeds. Yes, you can go back, but then you'd have to make it all the way back to the tower without that special partner. It might be worth it, though.
Another method is to give your partner an Oran berry, then he'll use it when he gets low on HP, and you can just use your turn to heal up, too. Make sure your partner doesn't go empty-handed. :D

I can go back? cool. The only problem I had was beating Dusknoir anyway. I'll go stock up and take your advice with the oran berry.

Okay, and you don't have to worry about beating him up again, either. :P
And bring lots of X-Eye seeds.

To TheMagicWithin, yes, but be sure you have a large variety of elemental moves, so as to get lots of supereffective hits. Also, know your enemy, and know if they have a Dark/Ghost move, as if a strong foe with that move pops up, Uxie and Mesprit might be in trouble. You might also want to consider recruiting Dialga, as his Roar of Time can really help. Once he gets near maxed out IQ, he becomes an unstoppable tank, quite literally. He's my favorite PMD2 Pokemon now. :P

To Vienna, MOAR REVIVER SEEDS. Believe it or not, they work for CPU allies, which helps against the nastiness known as Darkrai&Co. Also, now you might want to seriously think about linking up moves and not using them until the darkrai battle circle, and, when you get there, focus on the foe which causes the most trouble for Cresselia. If you use electrical moves, take out the Rhyperior first, too.
What helps the most against Darkrai, in my opinion, are AoE(Area of Effect) attacks, just link those with a powerful move that hits closeby foes. That way you can weaken distant foes and take out those going in for the KO. :D

If you still need more reviver seeds, try going to the optional areas(unlocked by doing random missions from Wigglytuff's Guild), as they have treasure chests at the last floor, which may contain reviver seeds, as well as you might earn quite a bit of money, which you can use to buy even more reviver seeds. Just carry as many reviver seeds as you can, but remember not to forget bringing enough apples and heal seeds, too!

I might switch up the line-up before I go there. I just hatched Manaphy and had to get Blue Gummies....

And when you said AOE moves, you mean like Vacuum-Cut and Discharge right? YAY!! My Pikachu knows Discharge.

Yes, I do mean Discharge. Vacuum-Cut is NOT powerful enough for serious usage after you reach level 10, methinks. I had a Pikachu who knew Discharge, too, and I linked it with Thunderbolt. He can easily clear a room(READ: MONSTER HOUSES)) with it. HOWEVER! The Rhyperior that comes with Darkrai has Lightningrod ability, so take him out; then Pikachu can, as I say, "throw down". Muahaha.
If you're still gonna keep Mesprit and Uxie, you might want to replace Uxie with Azelf, as, in my opinion, Uxie's higher defenses aren't as good as Azelf's offenses. Just my opinion, though.

To Vienna, I suggest linking Hydro Pump and Water Pulse, that way you deal loads of damage and confuse, too. For the Torchic, link Quick Attack and Flamethrower. Quick attack is EXTREMELY powerful, according to experience, which surprised me. Flamethrower can take out nearby threats, while Quick Attack finishes off those in two square range.
Also, you might want to feed Torchic more gummis, until he learns Concentrator, which lowers evasiveness, but increases accuracy, which helps alot with Flamethrower, as well as replace Slash with Smokescreen. I have been in nasty situations where Smokescreen saved me; it's absolutely awesome. :D

Where do I find Azlef.. I have the guide and it says he is where Mespirit is..

If I remember, Azelf is in the Crystal Lake(remember the desert level? the second part is crystal lake), I think it's named (in-game) "Crystal Crossing". I may be wrong about the name, but I'm positive that's where Azelf is.

Oh, and a quick tip: if you have a pokemon with the IQ Skill Pierce Hurler(it requires 7.5 IQ stars, if I remember correctly, definitely not sure), you can make them the lead, then have them throw Gummis at the rest of your party, and they'll all be able to eat the same gummi! Problem is it misses every now and then, but it's a pretty awesome glitch. :D

So if I throw a Blue Gummi down a passage where all 4 members of my team are lined up, the 3 members past the "thrower" will all eat the Blue Gummi? Also, do you think it would work with a Nectar?

And just so I make sure I'm doing this right before I start: To recruit legendaries I just go down to the end of the dungeon wherever they are and fight them over and over until they're recruited right? Also, does anyone know how much the Golden Mask increases the recruitment rate (just curious :D)?

To Zimonada, yes, they will all eat the gummi if the "thrower" has the IQ Skill Pierce Hurler. Only problem is sometimes some of the pokemon "miss" the gummi. Which, I'm wondering.. if the thrower has already thrown five gummis, how come he misses the sixth and seventh? :P (it's completely chance, and if it misses one, it doesn't necessarily mean it will miss another.) Oh, quick note about Pierce Hurler, you can also do the same thing with attacking items(sticks, thorns, status seeds, not geo pebbles(or similar)though) through enemies to hit them all(if it hits!) Items thrown with pierce hurler also go through walls, which may be nifty every now and then. Also, Pierce Hurler makes the thrown item go on until it goes out of the map itself(It will not stop flying), so do not throw something valuable, you won't be able to get it back. :P
I'm pretty sure it will work with nectar, too.
As to recruiting, yes, that's right. Golden Mask I haven't really tested, I just equipped it and had a greater recruitment rate, so I'd say it doubles the chances, from all the times I've tried, at least.

Oh, and if you have any of the 3rd Generation Pokemon Games(Firered, Leafgreen, Ruby, Sapphire, and/or Emerald), then you can transfer pokemon from those games over to D/P.

The 1st and 2nd generation games, however,(Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, and Crystal) are non-compatible. It's your choice, though!

Anyway, I'd definitely recommend Diamond/Pearl. Personally, I bought it because I've been playing Pokemon ever since Blue came out, and this seemed so much better because of the Wi-fi capabilities. I just like trading my Pokemon online. :D

Plus, if you're one of the people that like to properly raise (good EV's, IV's, etc) a team, you can competitive battle really well online.

I entered with 2 Reviver Seeds. Here is where I went wrong:

I was facing some sort of Pokemon. He got 91 damage off of my Thunderbolt. He uses Fury Swipes and misses both times. So I thought he had like 20 health left, so I use a normal attack and it does 31. BUT he didn't die. Then he uses Fury Swipes, it hits both times and I die -_-.
