Alison’s Trip to Disneyland

Chapter 1
Disneyworld... please?
“Mom, can we please go to Disneyworld?” Alison always begged her mother, Julie.
“Oh, Disneyworld, we’ll go,” Julie would always answer.
“Come on Mom! I have been wanting to go and have been asking you forever! Let’s go please,” insisted Alison.
“Well, I’ll have to think about it, but if you keep bugging me about it, we won’t go,” answered Julie.
“Okay, I won’t mention it,” Alison said as she was thinking of how she just lied.
Julie went to her room and sat on her bed. “Alison brought up Disneyworld again,” she said to her husband, Ryan.
“Disneyworld, aye? I haven’t been there since…” Ryan had to think a moment. He realized he hadn’t been there since he was a little kid. Oh, did this bring back memories to Ryan!
“Ryan, wake up!” Julie yelled.
“Oh, what?” Ryan said as he came back from his memories.
“I just said, Alison brought up the trip to Disneyworld again,” Julie repeated.
“Oh, I remember that. So, when are we going?” asked Ryan.
“Ryan, I’m not sure if we’re going to go.” Julie answered.
“Why not? Alison has been asking us to go for a while now,” Ryan said.
“I know, I’m just not sure. When can we do this? Where will we sleep?
How long will we stay there?” asked Julie.
“How about Christmas week? It could be part of her birthday present also
since her birthday is near Christmas.” Ryan said.
“I don’t want her to go to Disneyworld in December and get sick
because it’s so cold! I don’t want to go in December,” Julie added.
“How about summer then?” asked Ryan.
“No way! That’s too close!” Julie answered.
“Oh, I know! We could go during Thanksgiving so that I don’t have to go
to your mother’s party,” Ryan chuckled.
“Actually, Thanksgiving sounds perfect!” Julie said.
“Okay, how about we get some rest. It’s eleven o’ clock at night. We can think about this some more in the morning,” Ryan said.
“Sounds good to me. Good night,” Julie added.

Chapter 2
The Next Morning
In the morning, Alison woke up and put on her television.
“Lets see what’s on this morning,” Alison said as she flipped through the
channels.
“Alison, breakfast is ready!” Julie yelled.
“Okay Mom, one second!” Alison yelled back.
Alison walked into the kitchen to get her breakfast.
“Alison, we need to talk to you,” Ryan said.
“Yeah Dad?” Julie asked.
“About Disneyworld, your mother and I have decided we will go,” Ryan
said.
“Yippee!” Alison said in joy. “Finally my dreams will come true! When are we going?” Alison asked.
Well, this morning, your father and I had a talk and we’re thinking next week,” Julie said as she was thinking about how Ryan talked her into it.
“Are you serious? Disneyworld in one week? That’s all? Thanks Mom and Dad!” Alison said happily.
Alison packed her bags all day long.
“Alison, how much stuff did you pack for this trip?” Julie asked curiously.
“Oh Mom, don’t worry about it! It’s all fine,” Alison told her mother.
“I hope so,” Julie said quietly.

Chapter 3
One Week Later
A week came faster than Alison had thought it would.
“It’s time to go to the airport,” Julie announced to Alison and Ryan.
Ryan drove everyone to the airport. Alison couldn’t believe this day had come.
“Now boarding! Everyone on their way to Orlando, Flordia step right up!” the flight attendant said.
“Here’s our plane,” Julie said.
Everyone got aboard the plane and after a few minutes, the plane took off. Julie, Ryan, and Alison took a nap on the way there. When they awoke, surprisingly, they were already there!
“That was fast!” Alison said to her parents.
“Now, let’s look for the buses that take us to the All-Star Resort. That’s where we're staying."
“There!” Ryan said as he was pointing to the bus.
The family put all their stuff in the bus and off they went to the All-Star Resort.
“Thanks for the ride,” Julie said as she gave the driver a handshake.
“Can we go now?” asked Alison after they put away their stuff in their room.
“Alison, it’s too late to go now. Disneyworld is probably closed. We are going to wake up early tomorrow and spend the day there,” Julie told her.
“Okay Mom, which bed am I sleeping in? Can I have this one?” asked Alison.
“Yes Alison, you can pick whichever bed you like,” Julie said.
“Okay, good night. Can’t wait until the morning!” Alison said.

Chapter 4
The Big Day
In the morning, Alison jumped out of bed and got dressed.
“Where is Dad?” Alison asked Julie who was drying her hair after taking a shower.
“Your father went downstairs. He is in the cafeteria getting his breakfast,” Julie answered.
“I want to go; I’m hungry too!” Alison said.
“Calm down, he is getting food for both of us,” Julie said.
“Okay, that’s good.” Alison said as her stomach calmed down.
After Ryan got back, they all ate and they were on their way to the park. When they arrived, Alison was the first person to ask all the questions.
“Which ride are we going on first?” asked Alison.
“I don’t know, which ride do you want to go on first?” asked Julie.
“Let’s walk around and look. I don’t really know what rides there are,” Alison said.
They walked around a while and Alison found a ride she wanted to go on.
“Let’s go on this ride,” Alison continued, “Expedition Everest.”
“It doesn’t go upside down does it? I don’t want to go on any upside down rides. They make me sick,” Ryan said.
Nobody knew the answer to Ryan’s question so they just kept quiet.
“Ah, this line is a mile long!” Julie said.
“Come on Mom, we can wait through this right?” Alison asked while she was hoping for the answer she was sure to get.
“I guess we can,” Julie said.
After a couple of minutes, they were next in line.
“Ready Mom and Dad?” asked Alison.
“I guess we are,” they said unsurely.
The gates opened and they took a seat in the cart. The workers came around and made sure everyone had their seatbelts buckled and their handlebars down and locked.
“Here we go,” one worker announced.
The ride started and it was going up like any other rollercoaster ever ridden. When the rollercoaster got to the top, instead of going straight down, it turned and went into a dark cave. When it got out of the cave, it was snowing. All of a sudden, the rollercoaster stopped. Everyone thought it broke, but it went flying backwards! It went back through the cave which was the scariest part for Alison. Going backwards through a dark cave not knowing what it’s going to do next would be scary, wouldn’t it? Anyway, when it got back out the cave, it was dark. It looked as if they moved into a building with the lights off. All one could see was a light shining on the top of the cave and a shadow of rollercoaster tracks. Then, the Yeti came out and broke the rollercoaster tracks they were riding on!
“Ah!” Alison screamed.
The rollercoaster went back into the cave and stopped at the end of it again. One could see the tracks were broken now!
“Isn’t that just the coolest thing you’ve ever seen, Alison?” Julie asked.
“Yeah Mom! I love this ride so far!” Alison answered.
The rollercoaster kept going towards the broken tracks.
“Oh no Mom! We’re going to fall!” Alison said as she worried.
Just before the broken tracks, a trapdoor came down and they went rushing down on the big drop. After that, the ride was over and everyone got off. They went on a few more rides after that.
“Mom, I’m hungry, can we get some lunch?” Alison asked Julie.
“Yeah, let’s go here,” Julie answered as she pointed to a food place they were standing in front of.
“What do you want from here?” asked Ryan.
“Surprise me,” Alison said as she ran to the Expedition Everest gift shop.
When Ryan and Julie got the food, they went to Alison and sat down and started eating.
“What’d you get me?” asked Alison.
“Your favorite, cheeseburger with fries and a coke,” Ryan answered.
When they were all done eating, they went on the new Monster’s Inc. ride and a few other rides. When it got dark, they went back to their resort.

Chapter 5
What's VMK?
In the morning they went back to the park and took tours. A certain tour guide gave them a card that had VMK on it and a whole bunch of letters and numbers.
“What’s this?” Alison asked the tour guide.
“Oh, the VMK cards. There is a new Disney website called VMK. It stands for Virtual Magic Kingdom and you can create a character and go around the virtual parks and everything. See that code there? Enter that in the code box there and you can get some pretty cool stuff for your guest room,” the tour guide answered.
“Okay, I’ll have to check it out,” Alison said.
The tour guide said, “There are some computers out in VMK Central and the computers are there especially for VMK.”
“Thanks, I’ll go now and look at it,” Alison replied.
Alison, Julie, and Ryan went down to VMK Central and looked at it. The rest of their week there was awesome.
“Thanks again for letting me come here,” Alison said one last time to her parents.
