View Full Version : The Blue Screen of Death!
MLKnCookies 02-25-2008, 11:22 PM I am not on my usual computer today because when starting my computer, I happened to get the Blue Screen of Death! If you have experienced this before, can you give me any advice to fix this?
*Note* I already tried restarting my computer and unplugging it. (don't ask)
Narnialucygirl 02-25-2008, 11:25 PM is it only a blue screen nothing else?
if there isn't then try cleaning out your files and everything
MLKnCookies 02-25-2008, 11:27 PM It's the blue screen with words saying to do stuff which you cant do anything. You cant move the mouse or type anything.
2starTagregory 02-25-2008, 11:28 PM Uh.. He cant get on.. but......
If at all possible go to another computer and put all startup files onto a Lexar Flash Drive. Then plug it in to the not working one and It should be fine.
Just a thought, Whispered
P.S: Ill try to find startup codes for your computer online, what is it?
Type them in at the screen then hit enter, It might work.

MLKnCookies 02-25-2008, 11:29 PM I'm confused, I have different files and all my schoolwork and everything.
2starTagregory 02-25-2008, 11:31 PM That's why I keep a backup on a Lexar flash drive!
Go LEXAR! They 20$ at Best Buy, get a 2gig for the startup files

That's not good at all, I mean if I lost all my files, pictures, etc.
EDIT: I'm not going to go back and forth typing what the blue screen says but the last part says:
Technical Information:

spacerightsummer 02-26-2008, 03:52 AM sounds like a hardware problem. Make sure if you recently installed or upgraded any of your components to check if your operating system is compatible with it or any updated drivers are required. These components can range from a hard drive, CD-ROM or RAM. So make sure all of your components are compatible or have no problems operating with your operating system.
CookyHalie 02-26-2008, 03:58 AM i was about to ask if there was words on it.. wait.. how are you typing lol jk;) anyway i think they're updates.. if not there is something special you have to do. that happened to me i just can't remember what to do.. ill see if i can find out.. but right now i have to go sorry:(

karasmileyface 02-27-2008, 12:24 AM Does it have a menu with something highlighted? If so, it might be because your computer shut off wrong. Try using the arrow keys to select a choice, then press "enter" when you want to select it. Hope this is of some help to someone!
