Destination 02-21-2008, 05:27 AM Quote from the Wall Street Journal reveals Toy Story 3's plot!
“Woody the cowboy and his toy-box friends are dumped in a day-care center after their owner, Andy, leaves for college.”

What do you think about the plot? I think it's a good plot, but I wonder what it's going to be like.
cedog12 02-21-2008, 05:35 AM yay! woody and buzz and mr. potatoe head bo beep the car the dnio:)
blueoceanwater 02-21-2008, 05:39 AM I think that the setting sounds good and interesting. Is there any indication when this movie is going to be released?
Neoteny 02-21-2008, 05:59 AM That's not a plot; it's a setting. What's the movie about?
greenhpper 02-21-2008, 06:40 PM I'm guessing they are "donated" to the facility by Mom as Andy has outgrown his Toys. My other guess is they have some grand adventure and are either reunited with Andy or adpoted by a new child. Woody will have a nervous breakdown and Buzz will save the day but that's my opinion. :)
Neoteny 02-21-2008, 06:42 PM Sounds a lot like the plot of Child's Play 3. You know, the one in which the toy follows Andy to military school? Hey, do you think there's anything to the "coincidence" that both those kids are named Andy and both of them have toys that come to life?
Wondermanforever 02-21-2008, 11:05 PM Ok, i think they need to realize its time to end Toy story @_@.
They all end up being about the same thing. They get lost, and find their way back to andy. ( They arent the exact same, but same comcept @_@ )
It Does get old after awhile
snowegoof 02-22-2008, 12:47 AM But.. I love toy story! My fave pixar movie :D They do need to end it, though. Hopefully they won't ruin it.
Centurey 02-22-2008, 12:48 AM Another sequel? Something about Disney: they have like 5 billion sequels to a good movie and they all turn out terrible.

Funny of you to compare Woody and Buzz with Chucky lol. But I have thought that before too..
GoodPolarGirl 02-22-2008, 12:53 AM Another sequel? Something about Disney: they have like 5 billion sequels to a good movie and they all turn out terrible.
That's EXACTLY What I was going to say!
EtnaGreen 02-22-2008, 01:07 AM Another sequel? Something about Disney: they have like 5 billion sequels to a good movie and they all turn out terrible.
But disney has made so many awesome sequels: 1. kronks new groove 2. Bambii 2 3.lion king one and a half 4. toy story two 5. cinderella three and many more. I look forward to disney sequels because they are usually really good.

Eh, i'd say 1/3 of the time they are good.
Usually they have the same concept as the first, which just gets annoying.
Destination 02-22-2008, 01:26 AM I love sequels. Almost every movie I see is a sequel lol but sadly the movie industry or something like that said in the beginning of the year that Film Studios are cutting back on their sequels so you won't be seeing as many released this year :(
thundermtkid 02-22-2008, 01:32 AM Another sequel? Something about Disney: they have like 5 billion sequels to a good movie and they all turn out terrible.
First, I don't think all sequels are bad. I think Toy Story 2 was better than the first one. Also, in my opinion, there hasn't been a bad Pixar movie yet. Finally, I think Toy Story 3 is supposed to come out sometime in 2010. (Not sure if this is right).
ivanbyte9 02-22-2008, 01:36 AM OMG! I'm still gonna buy the DVD when it comes out! I LOVE TOY STORY! I've loved it ever since I was three!
GoofyGal1213 02-22-2008, 02:41 AM I really dont think Disney should make anymore sequals. Toy Story 2 was ok it was the only Disney sequal i acually like but if they made a sequal to Monsters Inc. i don't think it would be very good.
monkeyfunkychunky 02-22-2008, 03:06 AM Wow. Andy's had a lot of birthdays since Toy Story 2.

yes that is correct. Because Toy Story 1 is coming back to theaters next year in 3D and the next year after that, Toy Story 2 is coming back to theaters in 3D. Leading up to the premier of Toy Story 3 in 3D and non-3D in 2011. or 2012.
aggieathlete 02-22-2008, 03:44 AM I loved these movies! But, they have waited to long to show them and now im going to be to old to watch them :(

You're never too old to be a Disney fan! ;)
By the way, I can't wait for this movie, even though it's another 3-5 years away yet.

Well, Disney made a lot of sequals (Bambi, Cinderella, Aladdin, etc.). Disney's only making sequals because the movies are so popular. I kinda agree with the Disney shouldn't make sequals anymore, but some of them turned out brilliantly (Toy Story 2). So who knows, maybe Toy Story 3 will be like that.
MLKnCookies 05-10-2008, 05:33 AM Andy is already off to college? Wow...
Cools 05-10-2008, 06:21 AM Yeah, I don't see how he is already in college. The first one came out in, I believe (don't quote me on this), 1999. They are waiting over 10 years just to make the 3rd. Well, now that I think about it, he does seem old enough to be in college. In the first he was what? 8-9? And it will be like 11 years, so he would be 20. 20 seems like a logical age to be in college, right?
~€00L$
ps- yeah, I seem too old to be seeing a Toy Story movie. Even though I am in love with the original one =D

Nobody is too old to see any movie. Well unless it's like a barbie movie or something but still not even that. My parents are gonna see it probably like 3 times when I ask them to take me lol as well as all of my friends too LOL ;)
funny_ryry 05-10-2008, 08:57 AM Someone should make a prequal for a change! Like Lion King 1 1/2! Good Movie!

??? Whaaaaaa....... ???
Stemaboat_Tyler 05-10-2008, 04:07 PM Woot!! Cant wait o_o
Tris-Remix 05-10-2008, 04:48 PM I dont see how a prequel could really fit in. we gotta wait another 2 years to see if this is good or not

LOL when i first heard that Andy was going to be in college in toy story 3 I first imagined him taller with facial hair but still with the same old cowboy costume!!!! LOL
Destination 05-25-2008, 08:00 AM huh? LOL I'm confused.
PezDude 06-26-2008, 07:40 PM So they scrapped the idea of Buzz Lightyear recall?
.:Blue:. 06-26-2008, 08:08 PM Andy's that old already?! O_O
awsomered 06-26-2008, 08:09 PM So they scrapped the idea of Buzz Lightyear recall?
from what I have heard the buzz lightyear recall was an idea from a former division of Disney animation that closed in 2006 I believe. So now Pixar is coming up with a new story
funny_ryry 06-26-2008, 09:20 PM Lol I just thought of this! What if when they show Andy at college you see Sid walking around. That would be so funny!
Blossomflower 06-26-2008, 10:15 PM ANDY GOES TO COLLEGE?!?!?!?!!?
