Okay. So, my comp. is crashing for no reason. Earlier today, it was every hour or so but now it is so bad I only have 5 minutes to write this. My computer keeps crashing for no reason, and I am ready to chuck it out the window. When I restart it it is very slow and I can't even finish a checkers game (sorry monkeyfunkychunky :() It isn't overheated or anything. Please help!!

What do you mean by "Crashing?" Are you getting the BSoD? (Blue Screen of Death/Doom). Or are you completely reloading Windows everyy time?

Go to dell.com if its a dell and search for their Technical Diagnostics Scan. That might help.

If it's VMK crashing, it's probably your internet connection going off and on. If it's your whole computer, take a look at your settings or do a trusty virus scan :)

was the virus scan able to run completely through, without crashing? and when you say crash, does it freeze up, and you have to shut it down and reboot, or does it restart on its own?

and have you ever cleaned out all your junk files? advanced windowcare v2 personal is a pretty nice program that cleans out everything that should be cleaned out.. if you could get the computer to stay on for long enough to download it (its free) and run it, i'd try that.. also, is your windows up to date? start>all programs>windows update.. i know they had an update last week or so, maybe that could be an issue..

if nothing works, and you still have a warranty, i'd suggest you contact your technical support..

When i saw my computer crashes, i mean it totally shuts down without any warning. The screen goes black and everything stops (the on button is off, you can't hear the hard drive running.

a while ago i got my computer freezing and i needed to restart it but one day didnt restart i was lucky to recover my files QUICK save your files in something and format it btw it was a virus

i've noticed that.. my computer doesnt crash, just vmk.. i always figured it was from clicking through it too fast, which i do alot.. O_o

thats what i mean, just vmk crashes. and when you do click fast as you say it does crash... we are going to fast for it... you just have to slow down and wait for everything to load
