Does anyone have some tips on how to NOT get attacked by that evil thing we call the Kraken? I swear I have tried like 500+ times and just cannot get passed the third level. Do you have any tips?

Well, I keep the Kraken close to me until I reach the skulls - be careful to not let it get too close!

I thought that this game was taken off. Can you tell me if
it is still running because I can't get it.

I loved that game, because it was a game I could play well and
I used to get at least one pirate ship every day and they soon mount
up I still have many codes but I don't think we can trade them.

I can send you my hints on beating the kraken, if the game is still
running. The biggest hint for now is 'Turn off the sound' lol

My advice is before you hit each idol, hit the kraken with 5 shots. As you hit the idol, and the kraken closes in behind you, shoot him with another 2 shots (they should have recharged by then). This should sink him for enough time that you can get a good amount of distance. Keep in mind that the kraken automatically sinks if he hits land - which is most frequent at sharp corners, so be sure to take advantage of that.

I found I could not get the game on my computer but could on other
computer in house. Updated Flash and can now get it yipeeI have not played the game since way before Christmas and have just
beat my friend the 'kraken' after 3 attemps at that level.

Below is a post I did some time last year and some people may
find it a bit useful, I usually play once a day so I don't get bored and
I get my ship. Hope my hints may help but please turn off the sound
and try and relax to play the game. I have lots of ships, if only I could
trade them hmm.

First of all I find turning the sound off helps, so you cant
hear the noise he makes when coming up. With no sound it is more
relaxing). Let the kraken follow you as long as possible, he does
not overtake you and if you see him you are quite safe. It is when
he dives under that he can come up anywhere, if he comes up right
under your boat there is nothing you can do about it. If he comes
up near you try and turn quickly out of the way. And there are
some sandbanks and if you can get him caught on them , it is lovely
to see the kraken with his tentacles waving in the air and he can't
do anything about it. You are then safe to continue without any bother
from him. But beware you don't get caught on the sandbanks
yourself, because he will keep coming up near you whilst you are
trying to clear yourself from the Sandbank, sometimes you can't
and you just drift across the island but takes a while to drift.
I know you can always refresh, but I don't like him beating me hehe

When I fire at him I fire all the time continually and try and hit all
tentacles especially the ones nearest to you.

I play everyday just once.

Sure would be nice and make things a lot easier if the prizes were tradeable. Sometimes VMK makes no sense.

The next best thing: The pieces have become win-able in the Pirates of the Caribbean Game in the Bronze and Silver Treasure Chests, I believe.

I should think it frustrating trying to win the whole ship, maybe they will make them tradeable and I will be able to trade mine and be very happy as I have many ships codes. I noticed that on the ride-a-thon there were some lovely flat pieces that look bigger than the side pieces from the Pirate Ship. Maybe they will be the Ride-a-Thon gift today hmm.

These should be tradeable

Keep it close and fire 4-5 shots in it. When you get to the idol, shoot the kraken again as you bump into the idol; then move immediately and prepare to fire 4-5 shots into the newly surfaced kraken.

If you are maneuvering around an island etc., try to go wide enough to keep the kraken in open water, this keeps him above water and behind you so you know where he is.
