hey I got some questions about Vforums.

• what is rep?
• How do I get rep?
• How should I become a moderator?
• anyone want to be friends with me?

I'll see what I can do:

-rep: Rep is a way to give feedback to the different posts you see around the forums. If someone feels that you posted something very useful, they can give you some positive feedback by adding to your rep. There used to be negative rep [which can now only be used by moderators] which you may receive if you spam, flame, or break the forum rules. You can give someone rep by clicking on the scales icon at the top right of the post which you found useful.

becoming a moderator: I'm not exactly sure how - I'm pretty sure that most of the moderators that you see now were asked to be moderators or they were already moderators on other sites owned by Nick. [Nick owns this site too.] I wouldn't worry about becoming a moderator - the forums seem to be just fine, and there doesn't seem to be any need for new moderators atm. ;)

-friends: Sure, I'll be friends with you! :) I love making new friends! I'll send you a pm next time I sign on vmk - we could meet up if you'd like.

-You get rep by someone clicking on the http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/images/buttons/reputation.gif on any of your posts and giving comments on the post.
-Asking to become a moderator is almost a guarantee of NOT being selected to be a moderator. Batleth or another mod could probably explain this better, but we look for people who make good posts, don't spam, not many problems, etc. When we need more moderators, Batleth will usually let someone know.
-My friends list on VMK is full. Sorry. :(
