ok i have had my ipod for 2 years now and suddenly half the screen is gone O_o it lights up but doesnt show the screen anyone know how to fix it or is it just getting old and the screen is dying

My iPod's going quite crazy as well, yesterday for 4 hours, the screen was frozen, no buttons worked, and the light was on the whole time.
Hope yours gets better.

mooshu, that problem happens alot, you just have to reset it. As for yours, I would sent it into apple, after you reset it and charge it for twenty four hours.

It is sometimes the ipod is old My IPod provider said that ipod usually only last for 2 years so it could be just its old

mine does that alot when i go to plug it into the computer, and dont have itunes already loaded.. quick fix, hold the center and menu (top) button down, at the same time, and hold it.. it could take a little while, but keep them down and it will eventually reset the ipod.. you wont lose any data by doing this, it just unfreezes it.. it may not seem like it will work, but keep holding them down, it will.. it will turn the screen black, then just press a button to get it back up.. if not, you have to wait for the battery to die..
