This is my first story. I hope you all find this a "scroller". NOTE: Characters and Chapters in this story are ALL fictional. If anything is similar to this doesn't mean it is based on it. Genre: Fiction, Thriller, Mystery

Chapter One: The Three Sparrow Suits
It was an ordinary summer day morning when I, Claire Walkers, got scammed for the first time.
YouDontKnowMe: Hey do you want to have the rarest hat in vmk?
ClaireBear: Oh yeah!
YouDontKnowMe: Well it's called the Phineas Hat
ClaireBear: Really?!! Where is it?
YouDontKnowMe: Ok I put it.
ClaireBear: I dont see it
YouDontKnowMe: You cant. That's the hull point. It's transparent. Now offer.
ClaireBear: ok. - puts a red tent - Good Enough?
YouDontKnowMe: What are you a scammer?! That's like nothing for this rare hat!
ClaireBear: Fine! - Puts in a sparrow suit - There happy!
YouDontKnowMe: You only have one?
ClaireBear: No.. I have too more.
YouDontKnowMe: Then give them to me!
ClaireBear: Then I wont give you the red tent.
YouDontKnowMe: Fine.
ClaireBear: Deal? - puts in two more sparrow suits and takes out red tent -
YouDontKnowMe: Deal! - accepts trade -
ClaireBear: Great! - accepts trade -

I look in my inventory. There is nothing that says Phineas Hat. I go past Stitch Hat, Musketeer Hat, and my least rarest, Goofy Hat. There was nothing.

"Hey you stole my Sparrow!" I typed
I looked all over the Rare Trades and More! room and he wasn't there.
"Hey where are you?!?!"
"Oh great!" typed ForRealz "Did you get scammed?"
"Yes!" I typed "Is it that obvious?"
"No!" he typed sarcastically "It's just you said ' Hey you stole my sparrow! '"
"Well he did!" I typed "I'm reporting him!"
"You do that" he typed

I went to the Call For Help button. I just remembered, I forgot his title.
"Grrr!" I said "How could I forget his stupid title!??!"
"Keep it down Claire I'm trying to sleep!" That was my older sister, Kate.
"Whatever!" I said and ran to get some breakfast.
I sat there eating, watching the Travel News. There was somebody being interviewed at the Innoventions room for VMK Players.

"So what is VMK like?" said a news reporter
"Well you get to walk around the kingdom, chat with friends, meet new people." said a boy with Mickey Ears on "actually I just finished talking to somebody named ClaireBear. She is my friend in real life"
I choked on my French Toast. "What?!?!?!" I screamed, still with food in my mouth.
"Well I bet it is fun meeting new people." said the reporter. "But I bet it's more fun talking to your real friends."
"It is" said the boy
I choked on my food again. "I don't even know him! How could he pretend he know me just to not get in trouble with the VMK Staff!"
"Well that's all the time we have," the reporter said enthusiastically "stay tuned for more info on what's going on in the traveling world. I'm Natalia and this is Travel News!"
I couldn't believe my eyes. That's the guy who just scammed me, lies and says on TV that he knows me. Yeah right! I walked back to my room, slowly, thinking about what I just saw...



Chapter Two: Getting Suspicious
I didn't know what was going on for a second. Okay... think Claire, think. Where did I last get scammed by him? Was it Levitation Trades? No. Doom Trades? No. Let me think. Aha! Rare Trades and More! I went back to that same place. Some people recognized my name from TravelNews. I started to ask people where they last saw YouDontKnowMe. I asked LaserBean, PonyTales, and BeatBoxKid. Nobody saw him. Well at least, recently. I walked into SilverShoe's Stitch Trades and saw somebody that wanted to trade with me.

"Trading Full Black Mansion!" I typed
"Cool!" typed YoYoManCoolForShizzle, "Trade!"
We traded.

ClaireBear: You want to offer for mansion?
YoYoManCoolForShizzle: Yea I do!
ClaireBear: Offer?
YoYoManCoolForShizzle: Uh how about this..- puts in a purple generator -
ClaireBear: No way!
YoYoManCoolForShizzle: Great! You want it! - accepts trade -
ClaireBear: No I dont!
YoYoManCoolForShizzle: Fine! Hey aren't you the person who scammed YouDontKnowMe?
ClaireBear: He scammed me
YoYoManCoolForShizzle: I'm reporting you!

"What the? Why would he report me?" I typed
"idk. bc he dumbo" typed PonyTales

I went into Dungeon of Craziness Trades and boy was I crazy. I saw YouDontKnowMe and YoYoManCoolForShizzle together in the room.
"Hey! It's Claire Bear!" typed YouDontKnowMe
I quickly click on the report button on his pins. 'He scammed me by saying he had an invisible hat and'- suddenly the screen went blank.
"Oh come on!" I yelled, "this isn't happening! I wrote down his name and started to press the power button on the computer. It went back on. The VMK screen showed up and it said if I abuse the Call For Help Button again, I will be banned. I didn't do anything... I pressed OK and went back trading. How could I have abused the Call For Help Button? Anyway, I looked back on the screen. YoYoManCoolForShizzle was still there. So was YouDontKnowMe. It seemed like they were talking in code.
"So Shoe and High are Never telling Knee?"
"Yea Yeah Yes."

It seemed like they both knew each other. They started to head for the exit. I let them go. There wasn't much to be suspicious about but the fact they were both talking in code. Were they planning another scam? If they were going to hit others with a scam, it's my chance to hit them before they get other VMK'ers.


Chapter Three: NEVER in a Million Years

I write poems to get things out of my mind. So hear it goes...

The Man

Once there was a man,
he would always eat ham,
he always put jam
because he was like a lamb.

Well that was a nice poem! It still didnt help with my thoughts on the whole scamming thing. I logged back on VMK and went to my friend BestLesters's room, Best Western Water Park, and talked to him about it.

After I gave him a visit, talked about the scamming, and said they were talking in code, I left. Right after, I got a message from him.

From: BestLester
To: ClaireBear

Guess what?!?! YouDontKnowMe is here! AND so is YoYoManCoolForShizzle! They seem to be talking in code again! Disguise yourself first or they might recognize you!
I quickly went back to the room. He was right. They were talking in code. After, YouDontKnowMe traded BestLester. Uh-oh. Were they going to scam him? I had warned him once, but was he going to listen?

"NEVER in a hill.i.on ye.ears!" typed BestLester, "You're a scammer on the loose! I can see the he.add lines now.. 'YouDontKnowMe-at Large!"
"Whatever!" typed YouDontKnowMe, "Whatever, Whatever!"
Then they both left.
"What was that about?" I typed
"Idk.. typed BestLester "But I have a feeling theyre gonna do it again."

I left Best Western Water Park and went to ClaireBear's Mountain of Dreams. I set my room on 'myself'. I sat there, thinking. What if BestLester was right? What if they were going to be 'At Large'? Today was supposed to be my chance to catch them... but I was too late.

Chapter Four: The Message

"I will get you next time! And your little Best too!" kept going over and over in my head. What was I supposed to do? Let them get away all the time? It was time to get serious. I got some mini burgers down stairs and brought them up to log back on VMK. I played some checkers, visited ivanbyte, and then we both played pirate-and won.
"Coolio!" typed ivanbyte, "I got a bonus of 2000 credits!"
"Me too!" I typed
"So did we!" typed YouDontKnowMe
"Cool!" I thought for a second. That title sounds familiar. OMG!
I wasnt going to report him this time though.
"oh yeah! typed YoYoManCoolForShizzle, "oh yeah!"
They suddenly disappeared and I got a message.

From: VMK_Rap
To: ClaireBear

Keep on reporting false information and you are going to be banned.

VMK_Rap

"What?!?!" i screamed, "I didn't even report him!"

NOW it was really time to get serious. I logged off vmk and went onto VMKPal instead. I looked in every trade room and YouDontKnow me happened to be alone with ShowMeTheMan-Ay! They got out of trade.
"Hey! you stole my pink magenta lantern! I played a lot of mansion to buy that!" typed ShowMeTheMan-Ay!
"Who cares!" typed YouDontKnowMe, "Buy another on!" then, he disappeared.
"Hello" i typed, "how did he scam you?"
"He first said he would give me a stitch hat." ShowMeTheMan-Ay typed, "but then he said it was a glitch and he already put it there. I said ok will it show up in my stuff then? He said yep. I accepted."
"Hmm.." i typed
"Can you do anything to help me?" typed ShowMeTheMan-Ay.
"I've been working on it." i typed
I sent a friend request to ShowMeTheMan-Ay and he accepted.
"Message me whenever you see him." i typed and I logged off in thought of how to solve this problem. Looks like i'm going to need more people...

Chapter Five: Another Different Way to Scam

I went into the Tiki Tiki Tiki Island only to see YouDontKnowMe - trading - again. But this time with WDWDreamin'. I waited... and waited... then -
"Hey dude! That's not right!" typed WDWDreamin' "I should've NEVER have trusted you!"
"Who cares!" typed YouDontKnowMe "I do what I want!" he disappeared.
"Main!" typed WDWDreamin'
"Scammed?" I typed
"Yeah!" typed WDWDreamin' "I got scammed out of my own green flips that Host_Horton gave me!"
"Sorry to hear.." I typed "That's why i'm on a hunt to find him and am keeping track on how many scams he's done"
"Good to hear" WDWDreamin' typed "Finally somebody ACTUALLY wants to help out in VMK"
"Well you haven't seen anything yet.." I typed

I got another message. Another VMK_Rap message.

From: VMK_Rap
To: ClaireBear

If you EVER do anything to scam a player again, you will be banned permanently.

What the? Why am I always getting this?

It's Friday. What a joy! Another boring keyboard lesson from Mrs. Kali. All we do is Lalalala. Do-Re-Mi. Lalalala. Nothing special. I go back on vmk after I get home and oh great! Lets see what happens next...

"OMG!" typed ShhIt'saSecret "Tower of Terror porters are going on sale!"
"Yeah.." typed YouDontKnowMe "I wish I had those but.. I new here to vmk and I dont have money"
YouDontKnowMe seemed to be dressed like a guest.
"Well I don't think I have enough money for another pair sorry" typed ShhIt'saSecret
"Fine!" typed YouDontKnowMe

Great! Another way to scam the day!


Chapter Six: VMK Rap - IN PERSON

I went to the Host Room only to see Ali-Rae and another dude beside her that looks poor.
"Please!!!!" typed Guest1234567 "Give me free!"
"I'm sorry" typed Ali-Rae "I don't give free unless I trust people"
"Gad!" typed guest 1234567 "Don't wanna help the home less"
"Please dont ask for free to people" HOST_Shadow said

Uh-Oh. Another scammer. Then suddenly a trade came up - without me excepting it.

Guest1234567: I ALMOST got it.
YoYoManCoolForShizzle: Oh Main! But good work. Good thing you made another character when you got banned.


Oh no. I could see that YouDontKnowMe is finding another way to scam. Seems like another job for ClaireBear!

When HOST_Shadow went out of the room, VMK_Rap came in to probably take over.
"Thanks" said HOST_Shadow
"No Problem" said VMK_Rap
"Yo VMK_Rap!" I typed "How are ya?"
"Are you scamming people again?" typed VMK_Rap
"UH NO!" I typed "That's not me."
"Well, Well, well.." typed VMK_Rap "Guess you have to get banned"
" For what?"
"Lying to a staff"
WHAT?!?!??!? I NEVER did ANYTHING! I'm getting a feeling that VMK_Rap is not a really a true VMK staff
"I'm not lying to you!" I typed
I took a pic of him and quickly went out of the room.

I went to Main Street to see prinsess_chloe.
"Who is VMK_Rap anyway?" she typed.
"I have NO idea" I typed "I don't think he's really a staff anyway"
Somebody went up to us. It was Guest1234567 again.
"Can you give me free?" Guest1234567 typed "Please Please!!!!"
"For the last time, NO!" I typed.
"I will" prinsess_chloe typed "It's just a guest."
"NO don't!" I typed "It's a scam!"
They went into trade. Five minutes later...
"Hey you scammed me!" prinsess_chloe typed "I said I wasn't giving you Inferno Magic!!"
VMK_Rap showed up.
"prinsess_chloe don't tell lies like that" VMK_Rap typed
She disappeared.
"Nice going Rap." typed Guest1234567
"np" VMK_Rap typed "Next.. it's going permanent.."

Chapter Seven: A Million Ways To Be Cruel

I woke up to the sound of "No Air" by Jordin Sparks on my alarm radio. I got up, went down stairs, put some Lucky Charms cereal into a bowl with milk. After I ate, I went onto VMK. I stood in line for a HOST Event. I went to go visit CrazyAceMynerC. He was sitting alone in Central Plaza.

"What's wrong Miner?" I typed
"Oh nothing" typed Miner "It's just I got scammed out of my own Bird Hat!"
":Oh!" I typed "Who did it?"
"This guest." typed Miner 'He was like 'I like ye hat, can I offer for it?' I as like 'it better be good' and we went into trade. Next thing I know, he scammed me!"
"Who was the guest??"
"Guest1234567"

Looks like instead of YouDontKnowMe scamming people, it's Guest1234567.

"Thanks for the info" I typed
"np" Miner typed

I went over to the HOST Event. HOST_Skittles was in a not-in-stores pirate suit that nobody has ever seen before.

"Hey HOST_Skittles!" I typed "Nice outfit!"
"Thanks!" typed HOST_Skittles
"Hey can I report somebody?" I typed
"Uh... sure" typed HOST_Skittles
"There is this person, YouDontKnowMe, he has been scamming lots and lots of people on VMK" I typed "and - "
"We already banned him - permanently" typed HOST_Skittles "We got so many reports from him that we decided he was really bad enough to get that kind of ban."
"Ok good." I typed "You banned his computer from making a new one too right?"
"Yep" HOST_Skittles typed "But you never know, he might be making a new one on a different computer so watch out. Who says there aren't a million ways to be cruel?"
"Heh. Well nice talking to ya."
"Have fun!"
I went into a teleporter. WOW. My prize is a pirate Cannon Wall and 10 credits. Whoopie...
So YouDontKnowMe must be Guest 1234567! Just like Skittles said, he really must be on a different computer!

Chapter Eight: VMK_Rap and his Worst Day of his Life

As I logged onto vmk I saw there was a new newsletter. I opened it. It was not a pretty site. VMK was coming to an end. I knew this day would come but I didn't know it was going to be so soon. I went to my pal punkpat to get his opinions.
"VMK is closing?!?!" he typed
"I'm afraid so" I typed
"But what will happen to our life here?" he typed "What will happen to our friends?"
"That's what I'm thinking too..." I typed
"But worst of all..." he typed "How will you ever know who has been scamming these people? This ought to take months and months..."
"But if we work together..." I typed

I went to think about how this was true... What about all that time we spent doing quests at the Disney parks? Is it all going down the drain? But while we still have time, I think I'm going to just work on that case and find the truth.

"OMG!!" typed a girl that was wearing a goofy hat "I hat you!!!"
"muahahaha!!!" typed Guest1234567 "No way you're getting it back!"
He disappeared.
"What did he steal from you?" I typed
"My Lightning Magic!" she typed "I thought he was my friend... I think I'm going to delete him."
"Wait don't!" I typed "Where is he?"
"Small World Imports" she typed
"Thanks" I typed

I went over there only to see him begging for more free.
"Can somebody plzzzzzzz buy me a ALR item?!?! I want the moving flower thingy."
There was only about three people in there including me.
"No way..."
"Nope sorry"
"I will!" I typed
I tried to stall him so I can get on my other account to be friends wit him. I opened VMKPal and quickly logged on to my little sister's HannahBanana account and to be friends with Guest1234567 so I can always track him.
"Ok trade me" he typed
(Account still loading)
"Wait let me buy it" I typed
"Whatever" he typed
I went on HannahBanana and went to the Small World Imports. I sent a friend request. He accepted. Then, I logged out of my ClaireBear account.
"Where did she go?" he typed
"Sorry I know you're a scammer" I typed
VMK_Rap suddenly appeared.
"Scamming again?" VMK_Rap typed
"Yes..." I typed "When will you ever get rid of scammers?"
"Maybe now" VMK_Rap typed
"Thank you!" i typed "Make it two moons. Long enough to ever play again."
"OK" typed VMK_Rap
My VMK screen went blank. I got a message from VMK.

Chapter Nine: In Which I Learn How To Ban Somebody - The Hard Way
I didn't know what to tell my little sis. What do I say, 'I'm sorry but I accidentally banned your account'?. She was looking forward to going on vmk. Oh well. I'll just tell her to go on our older sister's KateisLate account.

Anyway, what was I going to do about VMK_Rap? I already tried reporting him but they just said that reporting VMK Staff is against vmk values due to people abusing the report button. I tried calling them but they said that would be too much personal info. What was I to do?

I met my friend Vienna at the VMK Village Pool.
"So what are you going to do about VMK_Rap and that guest?"
"Idk," I typed "but it looks like it's going to be hard.."
"No it's not," she typed "We're just going to have to ban them - the hard way"
Sound like Vienna had a plan...

We both go in line at the same time to get into the host event together. Once we got in...
"OMG!!!" typed Guest1234567 "I can't believe you stole my green mickey hat!"
"That just the way I roll.." typed OMGBecky!
She left.
"Aren't you going to do something?" Guest1234567 exclaimed
"Uh.." typed HOST_Tennis
"No don't believe him!" typed Vienna
"Yeah!" I typed "He is the on who is scamming people!"
"How do I know youre not lying?" typed HOST_Tennis
"Because we have proof" I typed...
"If you would just follow us.." Vienna typed
"I'm sorry but I have a host room to run and I cannot leave it unless you actually report him staff will come. Hosts are not responsible for banning people unless happening in a host room." typed HOST_Tennis
"We've tried it," I typed "VMK_Rap just keeps coming and blames other ppl"
"Well then there is nothing we can do" Typed HOST_Tennis

"What are we going to do now?" typed Vienna
"I don't know.." I typed "Just find luck"

Vienna had to go so I had to go solo. There was nobody else on but little old FulcherDude that was always stuck in Cute or Boot rooms trying to win something. So it was time to get lucky...

Chapter Ten: Sharks Rare Trades for Less!

I woke up the next morning to my very annoying little sister Hannah...
"Lalalala..." she sang
"Be quiet Hannah I'm trying to sleep!" I screamed
"OK!!!" she cried "LALALALA" she started stomping down the hall now.
"UGH!!!!" I got out of bed and ran downstairs. I toasted my waffle and turned on the TV.

"Looks like there will be a Kingdom in Disney that will close..." a news reporter said "Disney's Virtual Magic Kingdom, a free online internet game, closes down. We talked to a angry parents of children who play vmk and say their kids learned a lot."
"Yes they did," another news reporter says "We are here today in Innoventions where thousands of kids play VMK."
"I have met a lot of friends," says a little girl with a crown on "I have also learned a lot about Disney movies and characters I didn't even know about."
"I have seen my child learn how to type and read with VMK." says an angry parent "It's pretty safe too."
"Kids who play VMK say they can't even type numbers or bad words in VMK." says a news reporter "Thousands of kids across the country are sending mail, emails and phone calls to the Disney Internet Group in hopes that VMK will stay open longer. I'm Katie and this is WYTC Florida News."

"Wow..." Emerald.Star typed "VMK made it on the news? It was that big?"
"I guess..." I typed "I didn't think it would go this far"
"Me neither" typed Emerald.Star "I'm bored, follow me to a trading place. I'm trading all my rare if people want it... What's the use of keeping it?"

I followed her to a place called "Sharks Rare Trades For Less!". It looked pretty decent. Until...

"OMG!!!!" typed Emerald.Star "You stole my Purple Carpet Chair!!!"
"Who cares?" typed SharkRemmacks "I can boot you anyway..."
And he did so. I got a message from Emerald

From: Emerald.Star
To: ClaireBear

What are you doing still in there?!?! You saw everything! I just got scammed!

I wrote back...

From: ClaireBear
To: Emerald.Star

Wait! I need a chance to investigate this place. That shark dude looks pretty suspicious

I walked around seeing if he wanted to scam more people. Nobody was trading him so I decided to. I wanted to see if he would scam me.

He accepted my trade.

SharkRemmacks: Hello. Do you see anything u like in this room?
ClaireBear: Ya. I like that pair of Monsters Teleporters.
SharkRemmacks: kaa offer.
ClaireBear: I will offer these two firewalls
SharkRemmacks: Kaa I will get it after u give me this stuff...
ClaireBear: No! You're trying to scam me!


I quickly reported him. I got a message from VMK Staff. It said:

Thank you for reporting. We have looked through records and claim he did try to scam you but didn't actually scam you. Please you the HELP button for serious information please. Thank you ~VMK Staff



Chapter Eleven: Revealed

"OMG!" typed Shartruse "VMK Staff aren't even doing anything!"
"I know..." I typed "But it really seems VMK_Rap is watching me like a hawk in everything I do in the game..."
"Yeah..." agreed Shartruse "Seems like he's not even trying to help us out..."
"Yep..."
"Hey, VMK_Esmerelda's Help Center is open!" typed Shartruse "lets go check it out!"
"kaa"

We FINALLY got in...

I requested a trade with her. She accepted.

VMK_Esmerelda: Hello. What do you need help on today?
ClaireBear: Well there is this scammer that has been scamming me and my friends and mostly eveybody in VMK.
VMK_Esmerelda: Do you know the name?
ClaireBear: Well... first it was You Don't Know Me then he was a guest...
VMK_Esmerelda: It sounds very familiar...
ClaireBear: Then there was another one in a trade room that tried to scam me. His name was SharkRemmacks...
VMK_Esmerelda: Hmm... we have heard about that same scammer many times...
ClaireBear: Well have you done anything about it?
VMK_Esmerelda: Well... We have banned You Don't Know Me permanently... then the guest came in... but I've only heard a few about Shark...
ClaireBear: Oh...
VMK_Esmerelda: Well I'm afraid that's all I can say...
ClaireBear: Oh. Thanks anyway...
VMK_Esmerelda: But remember... there is always something you can do...

She exited the trade and said her farewell to me. Shartruse followed...

"Well?!?! What did she say?
"She said I that she has heard about those tree people before... but that was all she can say..."
"What VERY useful help! Aww.. I gtg! Cya"
"Bye"
Palkiasurfergirl came in my room.
"What were you guys talking about" she asked
"Oh there is this scammer that's been scamming all these people in VMK. Lately this guy, SharkRemmacks has been scamming people. I keep calling VMK staff and VMK_Rap keeps showing up to get me into trouble..."
"Oh wow... I hear ya... on of my friends told me about that guy too... Well take a break and lets go to the Enchanted Tiki Room Performance. I heard VMK_Flik and VMK_Rap are going to host it!" typed Palkia
"ok..."

I followed her.
The room was all decorated with pineapple chairs, totem poles, little tiki huts and tropical umbrella chairs.

"Why is VMK_Rap over there?" typed everybody in the room.
VMK_Rap was hiding behind a tiki curtain.
"He will be here in a moment" typed VMK_Flik

The guy next to him was SharkRemmacks and they were both trading.

I sent a message to Palkia and I got one right after I sent mine to her.

VMK_Rap and SharkRemmacks finally got out of trade. They BOTH disappeared.

"Well how are you guys doing?!" typed VMK_Flik "You ready for some Tiki Tiki Tiki performances from talented VMK'ers just like YOU?"

"Hey where did VMK_Rap go?!" typed everybody

"He will get here shortly!" typed VMK_Flik "He just crashed"

We both sent messages back to each other saying the same thing...

I actually got inspired by her(wherever you are MinniesDreams! ;-) I LOVED that story soooooo much that I decided to make some like it. But you have to read more and see that it is NOTHING like hers.
