It may just be me - but I was gone for about three months and now that i'm back it sems like the site lost A LOT of posters.

I don't know it just seems a little calmer now.

I don't know i could be wrong (i've been on a different forum)

Also i've noticed a lot of "i'm leaving" threads...and i don't see a lot of moderators around like i used to

Well, I'm posting a lot less than I used to, so there's half your content right there.

This site is becoming stupid. No staff show up and it seems like all staff do are work on the other sites.

No staff show up

What do I look like, chopped liver? :D

TravisSch is posting news all the time. Other mods participate in discussions where appropriate. We've had mods posting contests and trivia. Lots of staff continue to work behind the scenes. Bathleth has been coordinating updates to the server.

What more do you want? What can we do better? We're always looking to improve and welcome good ideas.

Well I am new and even though nobody really cares what I say I post a lot. So who knows maybe your insight is just an illusion.

Interesting insights - thanks everyone! :vsmiley:

it sems like the site lost A LOT of posters.

As of this post we are standing at: Members: 31,373. That number grows daily. Keep in mind that often people will spend a lot of time just reading various threads.

I don't know it just seems a little calmer now.

Well if it's calmer that is an indication that we are here doing our jobs. As Priz said, a lot of our work goes on behind the scenes to help keep things running smoothly. You can see a full list of of our moderation staff by clicking here (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/showgroups.php).

Yes, please do tell us. If you (or anyone) do not feel comfortable posting, always feel free to drop any of us moderators (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/showgroups.php) a PM with your thoughts and ideas. This site exists because of and for all of us fans of VMK, please help us make it better for everyone.

Yeah, Neoteny was about half the site lol. Actually, he still is, just a lot of those posts are in older threads. A lot of people don't post, but just read. But if you want to see a lot of people at once, as soon as VMK opens, and a lot of stuff comes out, (like today) look at how many people are looking at that thread. I've seen it shoot to over a 100 before. Especially during Dreams Month.

I think the reason you don't see as many people on is because a lot of people are busy, in school, or just got bored. A lot of people who were here a year ago have reduced their playing time for other things.

Yeah, I know I have not been posting as much as I normally do.. I've been more of a lurker lately. I don't know why, I just haven't seen many threads I feel compelled to post on lately..

Same here PrincessWall.. I only seem to post on Hello/Goodbye threads and Trades now. I don't even post on the "What came out today" threads anymore. But I have to agree with you, it is a lot calmer here now.

Also keep in mind, time zones may affect how many people are on at once.

Moderators are always around....and we have alot of fun in chat ;) You have to see though that moderating these forums is a great deal of work, and you can't just flake off from doing it. Most of the moderators are busy making this place safe for you and making things to benefit the users. I do not speak on behalf of them, but I think they are doing a wonderful job around here. We are all one big happy family. ;)

Actually, I've seen more moderators around, but hey, who said that was a bad thing? It does seen calmer, but that just means the moderators are doing their job and we're doing our jobs by following the rules; we've gotten to know the rules better :)

Much activity has seemed to slow down a bit ever since mid-January. Maybe just nothing to post on - I've been just lurking for most of this past week.

I guess this thread is kind of funny. Our user activity has been it's highest in over a year, right now!:vshocked: Registerations are up, postings are up, new threads are up, etc. We're really happy to see so much activity again.:vgrin:

I keep getting the same feeling that everything is slowing down. Each time I look where I want to, there never seems to be a new post. I end up hunting down posts after a few minutes, which just isn't fun. Take some time to look at the other boards, you might find something interesting.
Most users just scan nowadays.

Same here. I get a strange feeling here that things are slowing down.

Most users don't post unless it is a stupid trade thread.
