February HOST Events

This might be a filler until they add new events, but there are some changes with this calendar:


HOST_Lily's Card Tricks event is now on Monday (as well as Sunday) from 8:30-10:30 AM PT.
HOST_Hurricane is hosting an event on Saturday evenings!

It would seem that Magic month has been extended. I do not think they would make changes just for "filler" events.

I guess they are not doing anything special for Superbowl weekend? Well, maybe they will release some football items during the Sunday quest...

I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't the football pin released again or something...we can hope :)

I am glad to see the extension but better yet to see Hurricane hosting an event! I am glad to see our new HOST_ getting a change to do what they're job is ;)

I hope vmk gets back on track sometime i got so used to every month having a different theme i got used to it and now I am totally lost. I agree i like the magic month being extended though. I hope we see some great magic pins as well as some betas (magic carpet magic and such). Kudos to Host_Hurricane on his first official job in vmk. Go Hurricane!!

I hope vmk made a good choice in making HOST_Hurricane a host, since he's new, his rooms might not be as good as some average-room-builders. I hope some other hosts help him out! wouldn't want some newbie saying, This room stinks. I would be so mad :(


Btw: This may mean more new magic! ( Possible release of TCG? after all, that Q and A with yavn interview said it would be released VERY early this year )

I just hope it now runs till the end of the month. (Adding some of the special events in - Superbowl (3rd), Mardi Gras(5th), and Valentine's Day(14th)). Maybe even adding a Magic Weekend pin for Febuary? And Extending Fireworks Friday through this month. It would really be nice for them to add different magic in the Magic Shop. One can only hope though....

Also so happy to see a new host! I think he will be a great addition and I think he may have some help from the other hosts getting started for now, but I'm sure he has some great experience (otherwise why would they hire a new host). Also on one more note...When was the last time anyone saw Hula in the game? I hope she is just feeling sick and not left us....

Actually only a month and a half as the first two weeks was devoted to the Gingerbread competition. VMK has extended themes once (Everest and Water parks) and perhaps this month has been popular enough they decided to do it this time as well. :)

Last week, when I entered her rooms for the events, several times she was saying how ill she felt. She could just have the flu - but we all know how much that can knock the stuffing out of us, for weeks sometimes. Get well soon Hula :)

In 2005 yavn said he will release Magic Carpet in the following year, which was 2006, it is currently 2008 and no magic has been seen on players (Or staff recently, for that matter)

I truly made myself think that Hula was coming back... but now that I see this I'm beginning to think we've seen the last of our Princess of Tikis :(

I don't think Hula is leaving because the HOSTs have said that all Hula is doing is switching her shift times around. I think she is staying for a long time. :)

You can bet Hurricane's room will the be the fullest this month.

I'd like to see some magic tricks sold in the Magic Shop. Here's an idea:

Cup Teleportation- A cup falls over you and the spot you are teleporting too. Then the cups come up and you're in the spot you teleported too.
