It's seems nowadays that banning isn't taken very seriously, some players just see it as a slap on the wrist and laugh at it. Do you think VMK should step up on their punishments or should they just leave it as is?

So did I but I laugh at a ban. Plus, it is bad for business. A person goes to the parks and gets all this stuff, and then, he is banned for life and goes mad and hates Disney. A big loss on the Disney end.

If people stopped liking disney then no one would watch the shows, go to the parks, and other stuff including disney.
Which means alot of people won't have jobs, and disney is gone.

What I find funny is you never see the scammers or the rude people get banned, you see people trying to help get banned. I think they really need to work on the ban thing.

Players take banning too lightly. A ban is received from not honoring your contract that you agreed to follow when first joining VMK. By receiving a ban, you have broken something that you have promised that you would follow. I don't believe that you should even be allowed to play the game after you have committed a serious infraction of the rules.

Personally, I think that the 24 hour bans are very much useless. When they get up to a month, people may start to realize that they did something wrong.

Hooray! I totally agree to this! I also have noticed that it tends to not be the rude people and scammers that get banned (like EtnaGreen and alubadubdub said) I really hope they start getting on it!

I believe that you can do falling chairs and cute or boot. It's just the "Pay to Play" issue is now against the VMK Values. You may think that EVERYTHING is against VMK Values, when they are really just trying to keep us as safe as possible. VMK doesn't want to get in trouble for being unsafe for their players.

even if every vmk player hated disney and never went there or watched the shows it would mkae no impact, there is still the rest of the world who have lives and dont play vmk. lol anyway even if noone played vmk disney would just shut it down - no problem for them as vmk is just a marketing scheme for disney that works very well. advertise disney in the virtual world pay money for virtual prizes disney is great with advertising! woot disney!


on to the ban- depends on the person, a vmk lover would be destroied if they couldn't play vmk whilst a person who rarely plays it wouldn't care,
disney can't cater for everyones personalities so i think it is working as well a can be expected. anyway only true disney fans would be expected to play really

I think it should stay as it. Because a lot of the bans people kinda watch them selves and stuff, but once you get a 10 year ban, and you make another account, you start to really watch your self. It's almost like your afraid to say something. even to say "Hi" LOL!

Maybe VMK can give people a badge that says " banned " and that means that they cannot say a word, ask to be friends, or trade ever when playing vmk until the ban expires. Then if they bother people by blocking passages they can be banned from the game but I dont believe in permanent bans...but If they are neccesary its ok especially if they just break the rules too often then maybe an Ip ban would be reasonable because after all they did break the rules..

but then again I am already way to over cautious when talking I'd rather not talk I havent been banned ever since I have been playing and I don't want that to change anytime soon.

I think bans will only do what they are made to do and show that vmk is serious about their house rules. Use common sense in vmk. I don't do anything I wouldn't do in real life in vmk.

I completely agree. Use common sense people! Following the rules in VMK is important and helps the Staff make their job a little easier - that way most players won't get in trouble, because they understand what the rules are.

No I have not ever been banned - I play because I like the people and the game, not because I think it's fun to have something taken away.

The banning doesn't really do anything to players who don't care, they might not even care the first time they get banned for a month. But if you get banned five times for a month (me o.o) you really start being careful.

I believe that mrmyth means, and if I am wrong, please correct me, that if you cannot and will not follow simple rules to play and exist in a family friendly game, then you do not respect rules in general. Unfortunately this type of disrespect of rules, and no honor for your fellow players, can lead to other forms of disrespect and dishonor in real life.

There are rules in place for VMK to protect others and protect yourself. They are the rules set out by disney.com and VMK. I gladly follow the rules of this game to show respect for my fellow VMK players and honor my family and friends with common sense.

Thanks for agreeing with me! Personally, VMK could have people living Disney if they lightened up on bans. Being banned is fun. I laugh at it. Once you have laughed at it enough, it doesn't like you, and bye bye account for 10 years, and you continue to laugh,. I can bypass a ban by going to a friends house. Or having a computer with a different IP address. Either way, laughing at a ban, is easy, but can have consequences on both ends, on the Disney end, and the player end.

I don't really think it's stopping that many people from doing what they did in the past, again. Sure, it stops them from doing it in that area, from a set amount of time...but they could easily go around that ban and do it again.

Same here. I used to have a VMK account named IvanByte. But then my brother got me banned for ten years bc he always used to get on my VMK and say bad stuff. And I got banned for ten years. So when my Dad switched IPs, I got to make a new VMK account. AndI named him IvanIsBack! And he's the alter-ego of IvanByte! But only, he's richer, and is greater and has lived longer!
Anyways: I just got banned for a month about seven minutes ago.

I've learned from most of my bans, and two of those bans were for no reason.
Bans are there to teach the player a lesson, not influence them to cause more havoc and get themselves banned again.

I've never gotten banned, and thankful for that. I don't do anything bad anyways. :)

But lately, I've seen a lot of people who find getting banned a game! Just yesterday I saw someone who said that they'd gotten banned 3 times that day and just kept on creating new characters! That's just irresponsible.

I dont think banning is helping players at all. It's just making them more mad and more arguments which mostly lead to eventually more banning. If I could ban anyone, I would keep the banning to just 24 hours everytime so people wont get mad/sad if it's 10 years or a month, and they will still learn their lesson beacuse it wont be short. I really wish VMK would get deep into the bans to see if they're really worth banning, or not.

No, banning is fair. VMK gets to decide how long you are banned for, end of discussion. Some banning is unfair, if you didn't do anything, such as being in a room and the entire room has been banned.
VMK is not a bad game because of the banning. If anything, the banning helps get rid of the players who do wrong. Those VMK players possibly, because they got banned, will be shown how bad the game is. For people who don't get banned, most of them enjoy the game.
