I got stuck at the door of the 2nd room of the host room tonight, and I seen someone asking about the prizes of the contest, so of course, I STAYED AND LISTENED, lol.

So this person said they were mad the prizes were changed
and Fin even said she didnt want them to be changed

The player said ' They should have honored the original participation prizes to everyone who participated'
Fin said ' I agree '

Fin even said that she said ' everyone should be a winner, but they didnt listen to her sadly '

That's really nice to hear it from a host. I seriously doubt that VMK will change it back to the original participation prizes because they already changed it once from the best prizes, to only one lame prize.

After hearing what Fin said, Im thinking maybe a prize change?

Hosts run VMK? Um... not exactly. They run some events in VMK, but that is a far cry from running VMK itself.

I can understand they made a huge mistake, but they only added to it by the "Oh by the way, we did not forget about you, oh wait, we did, but anyway here's a Donald Gift box" routine. It would have been better if they fessed up, and admitted they listed prize awards wrong. The winners in addition get the Top Ten pin, Blue Jacket and Beanie and ALL participants get a set of four Orange Gumdrops.

I like this idea. Even a mere four orange gumdrops would be better than a "prize" we're only supposed to give away.

Thank you for posting this. I have been feeling downright lousy since this all started (and before then for other reasons). To see Phinny say that makes me feel a bit better. At least I know she doesn't think of me as a lose.her and nonparticipant, like I have been feeling about myself since this mess started. *sighs*

Also serves as a good reminder that the Hosts do not have all the power some players think they do. I feel badly for them because they get slammed with questions and complaints about things people behind the scenes (most likely) decided on.

It's nice to see a Host going to bat for the players. Too bad her opinion doesn't carry more weight with whomever is playing "Yavn" at the moment. I guess the opinion of hosts mean about as much to VMK as ours does. Very Sad! :ThumbsDown:

Finally HOST_Phinny says something I agree with, most times I don't agree with what she says lol. But that's not the point lol.

The point is, VMK Staff should talk together, and hear each other's opinions, which it doesn't seem like that happened. The Disney corporation as a whole, is a team effort. You can't have one person, or a few, making all the decisions on anything Disney can you? That's why the C.O. of Disney has other people, he can't do it all, think about it, and he has more important things to do, than worry what's on T.V. for example. So since VMK IS Disney, they SHOULD be working as a TEAM.

As for what VMK said about we didn't forget about the ppl who didn't win, that's a lie, we all know it too.

Like what was said before, they could have admitted they made a mistake. But no, that's not VMK, VMK doesn't make ANY mistakes.

Fin was at least trying probably, and that's why I'm glad that she said that, it shows "Yavn" or who ever it is that gave the prizes out, and decided what group of ppl get them, didn't listen well enough.

I just wonder who does the newsletter, Yavn can't do all of it can he? There's a few sections, like Yavn Speaks, which he probably does, but what about the Best Guest/Game/Quest rooms? Or the makeover, HOST_ do that part.

Ok I'll stop there, it's starting to get off topic, but you get my part.

VMK should work more as a team, which I doubt that will ever happen.
