I was just thinking about some of the pins that are out. In the Emporium you can still buy the Disney MGM Studios pin. Seeing as how Disney has just ended the relationship with MGM, will we see a new pin? The new name of the park is Disney's Hollywood Studios, and I would think VMK would put out a pin to mark that change. What do you all think?

Yeah, VMK could be more timely with these things. It's not like we didn't all see it coming. In fact, "Hollywood" would have been a nice theme for the month. They could do "magic" any ol' time.

I agree with you. New Hollywood pin might come out and the MGM pins will become rare. In the real park some will be coming out soon. I found this in the web site.

I was told the new [real] pins were delayed because of a typo on them...something like Disneys' instead of Disney's. So, in the words of the Cast Member that told me, "They went back to China."

wait-so the park in WDW is not called disney-MGM anymore?

what does MGM stand for? what do they do? how/when did disney end it with them? is the park going to change at all?

I'm completly adjusted to DHS and about the pins, I am completly prepared as I bought 15 of the VMK version. Also, they won't change the role of MGM movies in say the Great Movie Ride as that is on a different sort of contract that is serparate from the name of the park.

Tower of Terror also isn't either Disney or MGM and that was able to go through, the band Aerosmith also made agreements to have their name used on the Rock n Roller Coaster at the Paris and DHS.

Nothing will change besides the name although, they will advertise it as it is something much much larger.

I think it's going to change and I think it's going to change fast. So I would say that you should buy a couple of those, so when they do get pulled from the stores, they would become rare. And everyone is going to be wanted enough to fill up their pin lanyards. So buy a lot so that you'll have them to trade.

True, but you never know. Maybe a bunch of people are thinking that they never will be rare cause everyone is stocking up on them, so maybe they'll sell them. But we'll just have to wait and see.

No. They've been available for so long, and so many people will have bought them, that even if they are discontinued soon, they will not be hard to get in trade.

they should make a second park in vmk! they would put Disney Studios in vmk that would be cool! and there would be NPCs in there! like kermit, R2-D2, the Red Power Ranger, Bear in the Big Blue House, and one of those guys in the tower of terror that got stuck by lightning! and they could have the star tours shop and sell star wars items in vmk! and the tower of terror shop to sell the Tower of Terror VMK Trading card items! and they can also sell a Rock n Rollercoaster Ride track for a guest room! oh wow.. I have to many ideas to fit in this page! i have so many cool ideas, that i should work in vmk headquarters! lol

Well, we have the Epcot rooms. I thought when that quest came out, we would have a second park, EPCOT, but that didn't happen.
