Hoooope so =3

Back when the third movie was out, I heard that Depp wanted to do another one, but Orlando and Kiera didn't. Then someone told me they said okay o_o...

But, this is from Wikipedia;
Walt Disney Pictures has reportedly made tentative plans to shoot a fourth film in 2009.[20] Johnny Depp has stated that he would love to play Jack Sparrow for another trilogy "if they had a good script."[21] In February 2007, after filming was completed on Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, screenwriter Terry Rossio said he and Ted Elliott may try to write a screenplay, though "It's like the fourth Indiana Jones picture — there are forces in play to make it happen, and forces in play to make it not happen."[22]

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer has indicated interest in a spin-off,[23] but was exhausted by the trilogy's production.[24] Gore Verbinski feels that "the big danger is diminishing the brand... it would have to be a tale worthy of telling" for him to return.[25] If the director returned, he noted that "I would start fresh and focus on the further adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow."[26] Keira Knightley has stated that she does not wish to continue playing her character of Elizabeth Swann as she wants to do different projects, since she has been involved in the filming since she was 17 years old.[27]

EDIT: I did some further digging, and found this on google:

Some franchises just don’t know when to quit. Whether or not people are getting sick and tired of the whole Pirates of the Caribbean thing, when a franchise makes that much money, it’s hard to let it die. We’ve been hearing rumblings about a possible fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie for months now, but tonight I got an email from the old friend of the site which not only confirmed a fourth movie will almost certainly be happening, but dropped details on where the series may end up going when it continues.

Our source says that Pirates of the Caribbean 4 is no longer just a possibility, it’s almost a certainty. More importantly, Johnny Depp is all but assured to return, though our scooper claims he may end up making as much as $35 - $40 million to do it. Also returning will be Geoffrey Rush and Gore Verbinski as director, but forget about the rest of the cast because from now on the movies will only be about Captain Jack.

That’s right, Pirates 4 will cast aside Will and Elizabeth to make it an all Jack Sparrow movie. That won’t be the only change Disney is planning to make when the series continues though. Our scooper says, “the ending of Pirates 3, the fountain of youth story might not be the only story they might used the next pirate’s film. The fountain story could used in another form to introduce the story for Pirates 4… the next film might be a departure from the same formula of the last three movies as well, meaning that Jerry Bruckheimer could be planning to enter the realm of Science Fiction this time around and it could be the heart of a new trilogy with Jack Sparrow and his crew of misfits. Some of the brainstorming going around involves some Jules Verne type of scenarios involving some pretty big flying machines, a man who wants to rule more than just the ocean, a encounter with the most famous and dangerous pirate of all, a race to get to a lost world (Hint, Hint) and Jack and his crew going to where no pirate has gone before (No, its not space but Disney had made animated movie about this place before with Michel J Fox voicing one of the characters).”

And another one o_o

According to a scooper for CinemaBlend.com, Johnny Depp is all but set to reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow (for a $35-40 million payday, they claim). Also reportedly expected to return are co-star Geoffrey Rush and director Gore Verbinski, although the latter has made it clear to some that he's done with swashbuckling. Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom are not expected to be back, but that's been assumed for sometime. The site adds that production might not begin until sometime between 2009-2011.

If anything, don't expect this movie soon. I doubt they even started preping for it-- If they are doing it.

Most of the above are almost definately rumors, so... yeah.

I was so incredibly disappointed (an understatement, I'd be banned if I told you how I really feel) in the third movie I have been hoping there would be a 4th to undo the travesty that was the third movie.

they don't need anymore! there is no plot and you can't understand the movies. It is constant fighting and there is no purpose of another.

But why did Jack turn the map and it said the Fountain of Youth? Yeah Elizabeth and Will do not want to! I do not get that one bit!
