The tough part about this event is that it is only scheduled to run for two hours unlike Fin's three hour pin trade events. I wonder how quickly they will be able to get people through. :Question2: And then to top it off it started late.

Hula had a little trouble with the loading. It took her a while before she opened the gate and let me enter. But good thing is, I traded her a Minnie Pin and got a Mickey Ice Cream Pin! She said her internet crashed.

I was under the impression that it is RANDOM regardless of the pin you give, so long as the pin you trade her is acceptable. So, therefore, you could in theory get a pin that is less valuable then the one you traded. However, my guess is that the pins she has are all the ones that they commonly have traded in these events before.

Remember VMK has to have events that newer players can enjoy too, I imagine there are new players trading for a pin today they never knew existed! These are the players excited to get a Mickey Ice Cream Bar pin or whatever.

What I have a problem with is the Event not starting on time. Then you end of click, click, clicking for 20 minutes. VMK needs to wise up and give this type of event to a Host who has no connection issues and can start on time. JMHO :wave2:

No where does it say what pins we have to trade or cannot trade, and we get no choice in what we get, so we should be able to trade any pins.

when i got in the room, after starting with 36 ahead of me and spending and hour and a half in line, i had trouble clicking the ride start for the line. Then when it was my turn to trade with hula, i gave her a pluto ornament and got a retro flying saucer pin in return.

Hula did compliment me on my lanyard. That felt good.

I was 60 in line right at the beginning and I think only another 15 got in behind me, so 75 people made it in 2 hours. Worth thinking about for next week. I managed to get a Toucan pin :)

I wish they had more host events during the week at this time. It fits into my schedule the best out of them all.

Kids on the east coast who have to go to bed by 9pm on a school night don't have much of a chance to play all those host events that start at 8:30pm est. Pretty much every Host event is inconvenient for somebody. It's nice they mixed it up this time around.

I think I got lucky and was number 40 in the queue when I logged on. Took a little over an hour to get in. It was my first time in a host room. She gave me a tomorrowland retro pin 5 of 5 for the mickey quest pin (the first quest on Q button). I asked her if she had magic (since I don't have much), and she said no. I was happy with the trade!

It seems I was lucky to get in the room!

It appears by the room picture you can come in, sit for a minute or two and then exit on a teleporter for your treasure magic.. hope Hula feels better!

A few chairs were then added, Hula was feeling a little ill so it was just go in the ride teleporter and get a prize. I got a single-use Treasure Detector, but im not sure if everybody else got the same.

Most adults ARE required to work as long as they only have a cold or mild flu. It still stinks but at least still is not so sick she can not function. :)

Arg, this makes me really mad. I was 154 in queue when the host event started and I made it to 64 in queue and I crashed :( Now, I have to get back in line behind 1,000+ players.

everyone should thank Hula for still doing the event. if i were her, i'd get them to have another host run it. i've experienced what you're talking about greenhpper, and trying to be "happy" while in that state at work is even tougher.

Why have host events gotten so difficult? VMK seems to have problems doing just about anything lately.

i'm at 116 in line and i'm not moving rooms. i don't want to get a connection loss.

Yes, Bella has been doing the room makeovers for a few weeks now (and doing a great job, I might add).

crashed again. it seems my internet likes to take a dive everyday around 1pm est for me. so i went from 180 back to 1300. there is no way i am getting in today. not for a two hour event.

Tip: If your really excited about a host event and you don't want to wait, well my strategy is.. If it's at like 9:30, repeatedly search HOST_ in the popular room search box. As soon as the room appears enter in quickly. Today I got in the room with no waiting!

why didn't she just put the teleporter at the end of the ride instead of the chair? wouldn't that make the line go much faster and save her trouble?

I didn't get in but my two sisters did. I saw some of the same people hanging out in there when they each went through and they were about an hour apart. No wonder I didn't get in!

i was hoping to get in today, and even got to number 56 with an hour left. i ventured out of my room and played some pirates. while starting a game it got stuck on the game load screen and i couldn't recover it. so i never got in today, which i was really hoping i would. i didn't miss the ticket or anything it just got stuck. i hope ppl who got in get some good prizes with the detector magic.

I'm guessing this won't be happening today or at least not at the scheduled time since Lily has an Ask the Host room open right now... but I'm hoping I'm wrong. :)
