My wireless computer mouse has been acting up lately. It's wierd, it stoppes randomly and gets stuck in the middle of the page. (And believe me, it's not fun to play pirates when you're the Black Pearl and you can't move because of your mouse.) Now, to fix it, I lift up 1 Battery and put it back down. But how can it always work?

My mom's mouse used to do that, as well.

We had to buy a new one, sadly. :(

Get a wired mouse that connects via a USB port, and does NOT have a ball. Mines connects in the mouse port, and has a ball, so it acts up a lot. I want to add the USB mouse that I have, but I can't because my dad is forcing me to use the ball mouse.

I have a laser mouse. I changed the batteries and it worked fine. But that's wierd, because normally it says when the battery's low.

Are you sure that the batteries were low? Some mice can run on just one. ;)

One idea I found on my wireless mouse is when the reciever thingy was not on the desk top (It fell behind the desk) The connection was bad. Recently the mouse kept completly losing connection and the only way to fix it was to get a new mouse. So far so good abotu a month and no lock up. First try moving your little box that talks to the mouse to be sure it isnt in an area where radio interferance is happening.

I bought a laser mouse last year that went into a USB port and still had issues with it. It was not one of the cheaper models either. It didn't matter if the batteries were brand new. It would give me a message that the signal strength was too low. After it interfering with the game too often, I ended up going back to a wired mouse.
