Giving her fans the best of both worlds is apparently too much for Miley Cyrus to handle on her own.

The singer, who performs both as herself and her Disney Channel alterego on the sold-out tour, was accused in an OK! magazine report this week of using a body double during a brief portion of her show.

"When it got the to bridge of the song 'We Got the Party,' her dancers began to crowd around her," one concertgoer told the magazine.

"Then they covered her with a black sheet and she went through a secret door. Within a second, a new 'Hannah' came out of a different door wearing oversized white glasses. The whole time this was happening Miley's vocals were still playing. The new imposter had her back turned while she danced, trying to hide that fact that she was not Miley Cyrus. At this instant I became very suspicious."

"Needless to say I was furious!" the irate fan added. "I paid good money to see the concert. I was disappointed and I felt like I was played for a fool."

In the wake of the report, a rep for the Hannah Montana star confirmed that Cyrus does indeed rely on body double for a brief part of her set in order to allow her to transform from Hannah back into herself.

"To help speed the transition from Hannah to Miley, there is a production element during the performance of 'We Got the Party' incorporating a body double for Miley," the rep said in a statement.

"After Hannah has completed the featured verse on the duet with the Jonas Brothers, a body double appears approximately one to two minutes prior to the end of the song in order to allow Miley to remove the Hannah wig and costume and transform into Miley for her solo set.

"Other than during this very brief transitional moment in the show, Miley performs live during the entirety of both the Hannah and Miley segments of the concert," the rep added.

The 15-year-old singer has been on the road with her wildly popular Best of Both Worlds tour since October and recently extended the trek through the end of this month. She's slated to wrap things up in Miami on Jan. 31.

This has been the story, although, can you blame her? It takes her quite some time to switch between Miley and Hannah.

Because her "gourgeous brunette hair" is shoved up in a blonde wig. If she just took it off, her hair would look... not so good.

Just wanted to clear some things up regarding this entire situation and I have done the same on other sites- as people they didnt even go to the concert time to talk, and truly dont know what they are saying.

Ok, I did get tickets to the concert and went- I knew of the body double and it only happened once like people said. It's not as if they were trying to hide it, but there's no point to advertise for: "Come see Hannah Montana Body Double for less than a minute!"- The concert officials and those running the entire thing announced that it's to keep the concert running smoothly. If you have ever been to a show or concert- you will know that waiting can be very frustrating. This is done, so she can the wig off and change with a good transition process- She also had more time as the Jonas Brothers sang a song after "We got the Party", which many people dont know.

So, if you think about it with a small time with a body double and a JB song that its only about 5 or so minutes. That is truly a quick change overall if you think about it. She is almost becoming like a new person, because if you go to the concert while she is Hannah Montana she is in an "actress mode" as she must become who is seen on Disney Channel.
While she comes out as herself, Miley Cyrus, she is a totally different person and there is a different vibe to her. It's more like her being herself- just a teenage girl living the rockstar life, and entertaining her fans.

Actually- I am sure Disney could easily say "Adios!" (since the show is done tapping atm) also if there was a huge arguement about wearing the wig. The wig is there as she is promoting Disney and the show itself. Also like I stated above while she is on stage she acts as if she would on television as "Hannah Montana- teen pop sensation".
BTW- wigs are not glued directly onto your head. They usually put the hair in a tight wrap, and then the wig is placed on top of that. This is how it is done with Hannah/Miley during the concert.

PEOPLE, She has to change! The Jonas Brothers sang two or three songs to open the show.. Then Hannah came out.. Then JB's and Hannah sang 'We Got The Party'. Then the JB's sang two more songs. I was at the concert and you could tell when she was lip syncing. The only time was actually during the part when the body double comes out as it was the same as her soundtrack.

All her other songs as Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus were truly sung by her- live on stage (at least at the concert I attended). When at a live concert its easy to pick up on Live singing- her pitch was off a few times, and sometimes the flow of the song was changed- holding longer and singing differently overall. This proves that she does sing Live at her concerts and not a soundtrack playing.

Just wanted to point out that during most the songs at the concert you will hear a wobble in her voice, her taking breaths, and how she sings the songs is totally different than the soundtrack at many times. I paid attention to these things and the only time that I will say she truly didnt sing was during "We got the Party" as it was her soundtrack voice.

She could have recorded live in a recording room, so it sounds live and so she doesn't mess up. I have heard from many people on her she does lip sync.

I went to the concert and I felt a little suspicious about how fast she was changing and how some parts she'd be talking and not be out of breath, but the next not. I was mad she didn't sing and was lip-synching. I was really expecting more from her, it doesn't help finding out that about a quarter of her show was a "fake Hannah". I'm kinda happy tho, that during the part she was singing with Nick Jonas, it was a fake because he's mine :P

Well, you know she's fake if you look at her face. It kind of looks like the picture of her "Hannah Montana 2" album. Even then I think that was a fake Hannah because her forehead looked way too big and her eyes were a little bit bigger.

It's really no big deal you see miley for the rest of the show. and for 30 seconds you can see a double, it shows that you are kind of spoiled when you are saying you pay alot of good money to see her the ENTIRE concert you can miss her for 30 seconds it's still her music still get the lights and all the people screaming. 1/2 a minute is not gonna kill you.
She is changing it takes ALONG time for girls to change.. and it's not like she is changing by herself she probably has 2-4 people sitting there taking her wig off, changing her clothes, re-doing her make-up, fixing up her hair, fixing her mics and running back to the stage to me spending 10-15 minutes doing that is a quick change.

and I totally agree about what they said about the same people would be complaining if they had to wait for her to change........

when i heard about this, i wasn't angry... how do you expect her to change that fast? and it was basically at the end of the song for a little while, and then the jonas brothers performed anyway. i was there, and i didn't even think about it ! ( although i thought, why is she wearing sunglasses?! lol:] )

Yes,but think about it for their double thing to work that would mean that miley/hannah lip synced the entire song or longer.

Yeah, that double was there only for half a song. If I were there, I wouldn't complain about it. I would be thankful that she wasn't not on for the entire concert!
