With Smash Bros Brawl coming out soon (29 days 8 hours 10 min and 25 sec from the time I posted this thread to be exact) we need a place to discuss the game now, and when it comes out. I will try to keep this thread up to date with some of the biggest news from the main site. Of course, after the game comes out I will give hints to unlock certain characters, stages, and lots more.Also, I will soon make a fan art section of this thread so people can put it in their signature or make it as their avatar.

I reserved this game in July at GameStop. I got mad when I found out they delayed it. (It was due for December.)

Do you know that this is the second delay? The first one was good because they had and explanation for it. Also we got a month delay and japan got 1 week, explain that.

The game will be even better. More people and places to play on. The delay stinks, but we can't complain. It would be rude to complain since they are working hard on this game, while we are just sitting here and doing other things. So, no matter how much you complain it won't solve anything.

I think Luigi will be a character in Brawl. He might be a challenge character that you have to face to unlock like in Melee. I think they are just leaking the players you start out with (like they said about playing wi-fi with spoiling characters).

I'm gonna use Mario, Sonic, Pit, Wolf, and Kirby more often than the rest. As for the Sword battle thing, I'd like to see Link v.s. Meta Knight v.s. Ike v.s. Marth. Pit only uses his Bow for swords on his standards moves I think, and I'd prefer Ike or Marth rather than WW Link.

I'm most likey gonna use Captain Olimar as my main. He's got tactics to kill, not raw power.

Yes and I put one of them in the first post, so megaman is not and is never going to be in brawl.

I'm kind of dissappointed that only one new MOTHER character has been added. They could have atleast added Duster or Jeff, but they didn't. And they also don't got any DCMC tumes that have been confirmed.

Also Masked Man not being in's a huge disappointment. Hope there's a MOTHER3 demo in BRAWL. So far no sign of one. Only MOTHER2.

The MOTHER series is also refered to as Earthbound. And 2 and 8/9 of all the games are G rated. there's just some extremly sad moments at the end of the last game.

Yeah Earthbound/Mother does have it's sad/creepy parts. O_O Like Giygas in Earthbound....T_T still gives me nightmares, especially with the back story to the whole final boss fight. Still creeps me out!

Anybody noticed that you have to unlock Sonic and Snake? Yet on the main website, they are only listed as newcomers. I already know how to unlock them, but... people might not know that they have to unlock them until they get the game. On the main site, Sonic's stage (Green Hill Zone) is an unlockable, but all it says that you have to do is unlock Sonic.

Umm, those are just backround material. They aren't playable characters, or even assist trophies. There is only 35 characters that are playable in brawl, all know if you search the web.
The only other sonic character is an assist trophy, and that would be Shadow.

Sorry to break it to ya, but I am the most hyped person here. Ever since late 2006 I have searched the web for even the littlest detail about the game. I have never missed a dojo update on the day it was updated since it went live. I pre-orderd the day I could at GameStop in I think early September. I have a countdown timer on my desktop that tells me the exact second it comes out. And to top it off I am going to be first in line at the midnight launch (given they have one). I became obsessed with the game a while ago and I will stay obsessed until my hands fall off and eyeballs melt from playing the game 24 7. Oh and I started a Super Smash brothers hype thread. :P

This game is said to be nintendo's bigest hit of the year, followed by mario kart wii. So, many peope are going to buy this game.. its already been on the news a few times where I've lived.

Meheheh, just cause Sunday is the official release date, doesn't mean that it will be released that day. Go to either Wal-Mart, Sears, Best Buy, ect. they might have them. And they might be selling them.

Meheheh, just cause Sunday is the official release date, doesn't mean that it will be released that day. Go to either Wal-Mart, Sears, Best Buy, ect. they might have them. And they might be selling them.

Wal-Mart isn't selling them until Sunday.
They just put the games out like last week.

It was a mistake by Sears to sell them early, so I'm pretty sure they stopped.

Best Buy MIGHT have them, but unlikely.
If anything, you would have to know one of the workers at a gamestore, since they keep the games normally in a backroom.

Anyway, the game is awesome. I've only unlocked two characters, but I unlocked the only Character I need :D
The SSE is great, I loved fighting that Pokemon (Forgot how to spell it) with Fox :D The ultimate team;
Marth, Ike, and Metaknight!

We get our copy tomorrow :D Can't wait to play...though I probably won't get a chance for a month, since my brother gets to try it out first hehe

I'm getting my copy tomorrow, it looks so awesome. I want to see what extra attacks they added to peach and what zero-suit samus is like. :D

I should have done the 100 Brawls to get him, but I went with the SSE.

Bought my copy today - planning to pick it up at 9:00 tomorrow morning.

I pre-ordered the game like when Pokemon Diamond/Pearl came out. Like in five and a half hours GameStop opens up and starts to sell the game.:stshocked::stlaugh:

Ray 01 (robot from Custom Robo)
Louie (Olimer's assistant in Pikmin 2)
Amy (Sonic the Hedgehogs girlfriend)
Fang the Sniper (Sonic the Hedgehog character from the 90s, and he's a weasel)

Here's what they do.

Samus-X: fires ice beams, diffusion missles, and uses screw attack like crazy
Ray 01: shoots guided missle pods
Louie: throws pikmin treasures (game items) on the field
Amy: Rapidly attacks her opponents with her hammer
Fang the Sniper: shoots his opponents with his cork gun
