I know that several people are having this issue, so I'm going to put this e-mail out there to find out who else is having this issue, so VMK can be contacted. Most recently, I've had a serious issue with logging into the game (takes about 10-15 minutes or longer sometimes). It seems that others are also having this issue.

When, I log in, I do use Pal and operate on VISTA. My computer is a lap top & was purchased in June. Up until recently, I was able to load VERY quickly. Some have even commented how fast I came back from a crash.

Now, to jump to a room, it takes about 5 minutes to get there. Waiting for a room to load can take up to 20 minutes. Having my items load can sometimes take hours.

So my question to those of you who are also having this issue, are you running on VISTA? When you log in and have the lag issue, are you using PAL? Are you using a lap top or a desk top? Thanks for taking the time to respond.

I don't take as long as you to log on, probably 5-10 minutes.. but since the Halloween overlay has been added I have been having very bad lag problems, including only being able to play one against one in HM. Sometimes my clothes/pins don't load for over 20 minutes either. I am also experiencing the freeze when trying to move between rooms :( I am hoping once the christmas overlay disappears then the lag/dc'ing should reduce dramatically.

I have a desktop (less than year old), normal log on and the original IE6 (hated IE7).

I've also been having this issue...when I do get on (which isn't that often).

I'm not running Vista, right now, but I was, and I had the same issue...

I guess try running another web browser. Such as Mozilla Firefox.

Just so you have an idea. It's been 2 hours since I logged on and my items haven't loaded yet. This is only happening for me through PAL though, so I'm wondering if it has something to do with that & VISTA.

I was trying to comply information to see where the problem is happening. I just logged on the main way through IE and it took me less than a minute to load everything.

This also happened to me. It's annoying, I know. Even on my Dads' really uber fast comp. it takes about 5 minutes for me to get into my FRIENDS room that only has HER in it! I think some of us should tell the staff, if not, oh well. Maybe it's just our internet's? *ponders*

I've never experienced the problem to that extent. However, on my old XP computer (512 MB RAM), I get major lag (medium-sized inventory takes 5 minutes to load) and loss of sound after 2-3 hours. On my new Vista computer (4 GB RAM), I get just a small amount of lag after running 4 accounts at once for 3 hours!

Well, I have a 1.6 GHz lap top, so that should not be the issue. My video card is not the greatest & I don't experience the extent of lag with IE that I do with PAL. So, I'm trying to find out, are you using PAL when you get your lag and are you running VISTA? Also, is it a desktop or a laptop?

I have been having the same issues, and rather suddenly. I have reallly significant load time when entering the game, and when entering a room.

The worst lag of all is when I try to open my inventory.

The time it takes to change my clothes or to find a pin or piece of furniture, or do anything that requires the loading of a component is so long I have just about quit playing VMK.

I am using XP and have made no system changes at all between the time when it was working properly, and now where it is unbearably slow. I have tried everything I can think of to fix the problem. Full system scans for virus and spyware came up clean. I have cleaned my cache and cookies. I have run defrag and clean-up. Nothing seems to fix it for me.

I have no issues what so ever.. I use IE7 and it works great

I do un VISTA and i do use VMK Pal and i do have an Inspiron E1705 (laptop) and VMK runs very fast

Okay, I was told how to take screen shots without using PAL. I'm including screen pics of me logging in my main player on Explorer. I was able to log in through Explorer twice. Between crashing, having issues with Explorer, and playing 2 games of ghosts, you'll notice that all of this was done before the other player logged in through PAL.

Time is 5:10 p.m. & shows player already starting to load in PAL & my player logged in. Other player on PAL was started at 5:06 p.m.

I've heard a few people are having this issue. It began for me right after the New Year's server shut down. Not only does it take 1/2 an hour or more to log in, it takes TWO HOURS for my inventory to load. Is anyone else having this issue with PAL? I am using a new laptop (from June) that runs on VISTA. I've got plenty of space on my HD, & use a cable modem. I've run a virus scan, defraged, all the good stuff. No virus, my computer is clean, and I'm out of ideas!!!

I'm not sure what the issue is, but if someone has a suggestion, I'd be very grateful! = )

Really? My VMK (or VMKPal sometimes) runs EXTRA fast. It takes me like a minute to get connected and even less to "jump" from room to room..

My PAL used to be fast prior to the New Year's server shutdown. It started lagging late at night during the game, then we got the message, VMK was closing down, but would be back up.

Since then, can't use it without major issues.

Whenever I used to crash, people would comment how quickly I got back into the game.
