Alright Well i got my PSP for christmas
but i dont understand this Wi-Fi Deal.
I Had someone who came over with a laptop.
So I tried it[cause i dont have wireless internet yet]
And it says Your WLAN switch is turned off..
Well what is the WLAN switch?
And how do i turn it on?
-Help!!

I have the same problem! I think its somethine to do with a switch on the wireless router

its a tiny switch in corner with the wireless icon. and after that you need to put up internet setting using an internet code.


its very confusing so you have to know alot about it :D

No offence but this is kinda funny. I am younger than all of you and I help with the wireing and even do stuff like this :)

Anyways, the WLAN switch is that small switch at the top, push it over -->

And if you dont have wirles internet. I dont think you can do wi fi

I heard you can try it at mcdonalds,
But i got it working it says we cant find the network or something

I've never heard of a McDonalds with free wifi. I could be wrong, though

This is how the WiFi internet works with the PSP:

1. You'll need to have at least V. 2.0 of the PSP firmware. This can be done through the Network Update button on the Home Menu.

2. Go to anywhere with wireless internet (Starbucks, the library, etc.. Most commercial places will require a subscription of some sort, though)

3. Go to your PSP web browser and type in the site you wish to visit. It'll ask you which network you want to use. Choose the network you want to use (If that's the first time you've brought your PSP there, you'll need to hit "New Connection"

4. Enjoy :D
