I was browsing the guest rooms when I went into a room and found a Royal Ride Start Piece. The owner of the room (Chele) claims that she got it as the prize when her room was judged.

Do you think this could have been a mistake of placing the items or added as a bonus prize?

I got permission from Chele, also a member on this site to tell you guys what is going on...
The ride start was given to her by HOST_Phinny, we assume on purpose. Chele says that Phinny dropped it, said "Here is your flag", stood next to it and left. Looks like it could get released to many other players.. obviously not the people who didn't make it though (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=135581). Heres some pics, in the inventory also for all you wiki-ers!

Thanks for the picture Stitch. Now I'm wondering why it was given out halfway through the event - and will the players judged before and after Chele get the start as well.

Let me also add that the ride piece is not allowed to be traded.. it's her flag right?

That is an interesting thought. More than likely so - I doubt they would make an entire new piece (that looks the same as a dark ride piece - as seen in the ride-a-thon), just to accompany the new start.

i didn't make a gingerbread house.. so what about the not 2000 people that didn't sign up? fair much..? not really.... releasing it would be best imo

I think that the teleporters will be different for each of the starts. So far we only have the "Caterpillar" teleporter. Unless they edit the current one, I don't see what else they could do for teleporting using the rides.

Hi All :) Yes, Fin placed this in my room when she judged it.

She put it down and said, you've been judged there is your pruple flag. I looked at it and thought I must be seeing a bug since it sure looked like a purple starter piece to me. After thought, I relplied "or a starter piece?"

She said nothing, walked next to it and sat down on my bench and gave a :).

I've also gone and changed my everest pieces in my first room to pan pieces so that you do indeed stay on the royal ride for that room. I don't have enough credits to change the rest of the ride, sorry.

The alternative solution would have been that she wanted to show VMK players an item that would later be released. Since there wouldn't be too much point in this, it seems safer to say that it was a mistake. "oops, we'll fix this" does sound to me like a mistake.

I'm not entirely sure if the item is just given like the presents as well. There may be Java code used to create the item, rather than normal player interface.

Yes, I did mention it to Fin when she put it down. I have a picture of her sitting next to it. Fin won't get fired over it. Mistakes happen. She took it back. Oh well. I'm sorry that some of the more childish of this site can't just let things lie and instead have to exhibit selfishness.
