yes. My dad was in the military so we lived in Sicily (Italy) for three years. Now I live near the border of Mexico and I have been there briefly.

It's not sad.. the U.S. is a pretty large place and the differences between the states can be pretty big.. we have our own history unlike any other country out there, which is pretty amazing.. and you forget, traveling is not cheap.. airfare is enough to kill any family trying to plan a vacation.. ( i absolutly adored england, but its VERY expensive!) its much easier for us to jump in the car and drive thousands of miles sometimes, and more fun! most people just stay close to home.. but, not everyone gets the opportunity to travel..

oh and the reason you don't like england, is because you're from there.. it works that way most of the time for most people.. when you spend your whole life in one place, knowing there are thousands of other completely different places out there, why would you like where you're stuck 24/7? half the people on these boards from the US probably want to be somewhere else..

Yep, Mexico and the Bahamas. I've done some pretty nice vacations in side the country though (2 Phoenix/Chicago Round Trip Road Trips, 2 Trips to Maui, Chicago practicly every summer, DLR and WDW about a dozen times combined, 2 Disney Cruises and a Carnival Cruise).

I'm not dissapointed, I hope to go to Europe before I graduate High School though.
