View Full Version : What's Left?
jedibunny 12-27-2007, 09:08 PM is there anything left of vmk at WDW? since vmk central closed and there are no more quests
the only way to get stuff is by buying pins and hats and getting codes right?
fantasyphillip 12-27-2007, 09:09 PM yes that is the only way sadly
mrmyth 12-31-2007, 05:37 AM Last I saw they were still handing out Sub middles while waiting in line for the Nemo ride in DLR.
MiscMonique 12-31-2007, 06:31 AM yeah i guess thats right. like what fantasyphillip said, its sad. VMK should open. Probably not only at Disney World but at Disney Shops around the world. Because not EVERYONE can go to VMK Central all the time...
Perhaps they might continue doing things like mrmyth stated. Not official In Park Quests, but cards for promotions, ect.
babiix3 12-31-2007, 07:40 PM wait, does this mean you can't make a vmk character at the theme park anymore?

futureimagineer1117 01-14-2008, 09:29 PM Aww... I'm going soon. Is there anything you can buy that gets you a code?
VisitingTheMouse 01-16-2008, 07:05 AM Just tried entering 3 sub middle codes, would not accept. Anyone else having same problem?
Hi AceCaptainWayne!!
I did A BUNCH of Nemo codes in late december and they ALL didn't work and i had to do:
1) contact us page for EACH code where I described my problem, the message I got, where i got code from, what I didn't receive
2) get email from vmkmailman saying to reply with info above AGAIN (code again, where i got code, what i was supposed to get, what message i got after entering)
3) get email again from vmk saying My problem was resolved from last email, please send to Contact Us page again?? I was like HUH???? nothing was resolved (looked like a generic email you get from replying to their email)
4) go back to Contact Us page for EACH code AGAIN and give the same info: where i got code, what i was supposed to receive, message I got from entering code (luckily I saved all this info on Word for cut/paste for all this above steps)
5) get another vmk email and FINALLY got the items added in my window inventory and a nice email from a Q-A person
So....do the above by starting out with CONTACT US page help on bad code, SAVE the info you type in some form on your computer to later reply to emails from VMK for cut/paste fast reply.
By the way...after I got my new middles, i tried another code this month January that I was holding off entering and low and behold...CODE NOT WORK AGAIN!!! argggggg...... so I will go through another of the above steps AGAIN and see how long it takes to get my nemo middle pieces. I have been holding off entering codes and now this happens again. Just wonderful...not!
Good luck buddy!! :wave2:
hulamoongirl 01-30-2008, 04:45 AM I too had the same trouble - and just for those interested, they are no longer giving them out (or so they said last week when we went.)
While we are all sad the the VMK Kiosk is gone from Disneyland, there are a few things left you can pick up when you vist Mickey the next time:
-Black Mickey Ears from Innoventions in Tomorrowland
Make a character on one of the VMK game machines and you'll get a bunch of stuff - including Black Mickey Ears
- Little Green Men Store Command in Tomorrowland has Pirate Q
Buy 2 VMK pins for about $15, they come in a box so you don't know what you are going to get. You get two real pins and VMK codes.:mickey:
You can also ask the castmember at the register if they have any more 50th Celebration pin codes (I was there last week and they still had them). Sometimes they'll give them to you and sometimes they won't.
- The Main Street Magic Shop and 20th Century Music Company on Main Street have Red Penny Press
They say you need to make a purchase in these stores to get the VMK codes, but that isn't always true. I've asked before and they'll hand them right over! It just depends on the castmember.
Have fun at Disneyland! Tell Mickey Hula says hello!:wave2:
jedibunny 01-30-2008, 02:39 PM tyvm! that is so much helpful!

jedibunny 01-30-2008, 10:08 PM is it really worth it to buy codes for vmk?
i think that is a little weird
ccooldudecool 01-30-2008, 10:28 PM Eh well i kinda just want the pins i know when i last went there it was either 6 or 8$ for it is that the same?
Stemaboat_Tyler 02-03-2008, 04:49 PM The only thing now is playing VMK at Innoventions at DLR
SweetSammi 02-03-2008, 04:54 PM is there a place in WDW that u can still play it?
hulamoongirl 02-19-2008, 05:15 AM I'm also going back there soon and i'm considering buying the pirate pins with codes. So i go to the LGM shop and buy some pins and that's it? or do i have to ask them for it?

PIRATE Q PINS
They used to have the pins behind the counter, now they are hanging up with other pins just at the entrance to the store. :) They run out, if you can believe it, so buy them early - and if you are really nice (I call it sweet talk) they'll bring some out from the back if there are none.
50TH CELEBRATION PINS
These are the ones you ask for. If they have them, they give them to you for free.
Happy Shopping!
is it really worth it to buy codes for vmk?
i think that is a little weird
Keep in mind that you'll be getting real pins as well. There are tons of pin traders in the park that go just as crazy as vmk players when trading those - or hang on to them and sell them on e-bay in a decade. Either way, you come out ahead - and you get some serious pirate q! (You'll be the envy of the kingdom!!) :)
Eh well i kinda just want the pins i know when i last went there it was either 6 or 8$ for it is that the same?
They do sell normal pins in this price range, but the pirate q pins are sold in a box set of 2 for about $15. These have vmk code cards attached to the pins :)
Not sure if we are talking
jedibunny 02-19-2008, 10:09 PM thx for all the info!
goticdragon 02-27-2008, 09:42 PM So are they still available the Pirate Quest pin?? they are not retired correct just wondering bc i need to know they worth really
