I remember seeing that from last year's New Year's Party. I thought we were going to get that hat last year but we got the Mad Hatter Hat instead. Maybe you guys might get the hat in that picture this year.

Yeah, I recognize this from last year. The hat looks awesome, though. That would be pretty cool if it were ever released, but I wouldn't count on it. I think it's probably just a banner.

Last year, the closing time was extended three hours to allow more play on New Year's Eve. This year it would appear they are doing the same.

yes I can, but I believe they can think of a way to prevent this. I think the quests will slowly disapear though, because they have to pay for this and as you can see they dont get a anything back, unless they win best quest.

Angel_ocean is someone lies about stealing from a bank are they just a little of track? I think he is lying about the prizes when you win the card game, he hasn't talked about that in awhile. Then what am i ranting about at least he gives us newsletters every how many months with 75 percent of it that we know.

Actually, they did it so that the west coast people could ring in the new year on VMK.

I hoped to have that hat last year. I was a little disappinted in the Mad Hatter hat. I would think it was better suited for St. Patricks day.

I still hope to see that hat come out.

One thing that kept on confusing me from last year. I always kept getting messages from staff saying like 5 more minutes!! and then they would say Happy New Years, and then they would start all over again. It got a little too confusing for me.

I don't get why this is on the Front Page? No one knows (except VMK Staff) on what items will come out New Year's Eve and Day.

On the Community Calendar, the party times are up. It says:

VMK New Years Eve Party till 1am(pst)
8:30pm- 1am

That is in PST time. In EST time, that is 11:30 PM till 4:00 AM EST.

Sounds like great fun! I hope the hats aren't hue like last year. I can't wait to see this magic trick.

Both. But, every room I went to, staff was just there and I missed them lol. ;)

Hmm, if I'm not out with my friends, I will surely log onto VMK for new years and spend it with my VMK friends. In 05 going to 06 I was on VMK all night but last year I was at a party.

Let's hope that this year's hat will be something new and introducing some items later on in the year. :)

Well on the East coast the party is open until 4 am...so I will be on after the ball drops. My family and I have dinner plans someplace special, but we have my Grandmother so it will be an early evening. I personally don't like the night club scene and rather spend the evening with the ones I love. Everyone just has there own reasons why they spend New Years. I think it will be neat to see what VMK is like on New Years. :Madhatter_bounce:

Aye...I still do not like the fact that the game drives some kids away from doing normal activities. I realize that some people may be grounded, watching little siblings, ect. so I guess it's a blessing in disguise for them, since they can still spend time with their friends on new years...

i'll be out till late, but i may jump back on for a few minutes after i get home. i'm ringing in the new year at a friends house.

Yes it was later that night, really close to the New Year's countdown on the East Coast I believe

I am sorry, but vmk disappointed me. I could not get in line to Main Street fast enough to catch any of the Host or Staff. The hat was ok, but nothing to write home about. The lag was out of control to the point that they had to reboot and seemed to never get back. Total thumbs down -> crash and burn peeps. Maybe they are losing their magic. :confused:

I have to agree with you about the lag problem, but hosts and staff were visiting player rooms as well, not just Main Street.

I give VMK a (mostly) thumbs-up for this year's New Year Eve celebration. Also, I have had more fun in VMK this December than in other recent months.

i agree with blue...i was a little disappointed with new years...but not enough to say vmk is losing it's magic...dec was a great month!

VMK is definitely losing it's magic. I haven't been able to log on all night.

i wasnt aloud to go on vmk as i had a party to go too, but i managed to get the pins and hat... i dont think vmk has lost its magic, yeah it may of to you, but the new guests must enjoy vmk, just think about them;)
