I know you don't have to be in the room to be judged but it would be nice to talk to them and wish them a Happy Holiday! There might be some aspects of the room that needs spelled out to them that they might overlook if no one was there. I'm just using Mircrosoft Office Excel making the list, I can add names and then rearrange them quickly in Alpha order and can add columns when needed. Hmm but i was thinking about something .. how are they going to finish judging the gingerbread houses if only like 200 people have been judged? there's only 6 more days until the results but of course, VMK staff are very magical. There so magical it's like they do it before our eyes or like during VMK closing time. Ok.. for what, the fourth time now.

We have almost another week of judging! I'm sick and tired of everyone crying about how they haven't been judged, or they have sat in their room for sooo long, and haven't seen a judge.

The Staff (HOST_'s and all) can go in rooms even if..

- They're closed
- VMK's Closed
- Nobody's in there

It's annoying seeing people going "I haven't been judged :( :(" even on the first weekend, I mean come on! Two days into it and your already worried! I'd only be worried if I haven't been judged until the last five minutes of the last day of judging.

But until that happens, don't have anything to worry about for me.

Hey, I was searching Green on VMK, and I noticed your room is locked to "Tickets Only", I'm taking a guess this is a reason on why you may have not been judged, but that is just my two cents :)

Perhaps you don't know this but staff can enter any room locked or not.

are they going to announce the winners tomorrow bc they will be done juding? or are they going to wait for weeks with us in shock, suspense, and hated while they force us to wait for an answer and an announcement to what the prizes are? I don't think the winners will be announced tomorrow. From recent actions by vmk, winners may be announced in the middle of the week.

I don't think we'll hear results until the end of the month, honestly, maybe longer. I would love to see them sooner, but the staff still have to decide who they thought was the best. And with all the great entries out there, it will be difficult!

Mine was judged on January 7th i think but i really dont think mine would win but i spent alot on mine anyways HOW DO YOU POST YOUR PICS PLZ HELP!!!!!

Do not worry if you have not been judged yet. There is still a pretty long time if you think about it. If you get on tomorrow without a flag in your room and the results get posted then you should get worried and complain.

Also- in past competitions they had to judged past closing time, because they ran out of time during the weekend. This may happen with this competition also, but it may not.

The results will most likely be posted sometime tomorrow whether it's early or later in the day. They probably already have a good grasp on who the winners are with the exception of those yet to be judged.
- If I were judging such a large competition like this I would judged in a process of elimination sort of way. Each judge would choose the 33 (or however winners there would be) best from the rooms they have judged. In this case there are 3 judges, so together they would have 99 rooms and from their favorites together they would choose the 33 best altogether. - This may be the way they judged or they might even have a easier routine, but if they judged all 2000 rooms together in the end then they are crazier than me :D

gymgirlmary has still not been judged. They forgot me during the Space Race contest so it would not surprise me if they leave me out this time too.

I don't see why they can't finish in 2 weeks. All they have to do is take a picture of the room and put a flag in. If I can finish 5 complete skins in 3 days, why can't they finish 2000 people in 2 weeks?

Anyways I am not sure if they even just 'take' a photo of the room. The staff might have to do some behind the scenes judging themselves - not just taking a picture and sending it in.

Does anyone know how many winners there will be?

That's straight from the newsletter on December 24th.
Sure it is. However...

"Hopefully the judging will stay on track over the weekend and we'll announce the winners next week. So stay tuned."

That was in the newsletter released January 11th. I doubt we'll see the winners tomorrow.

I can imagine we'll see the winners by the end of this week (if we're lucky), but I just can't imagine that we'd see them tomorrow considering I still know people who are sure they signed up correctly who have yet to be judged.

I hate to be pessimistic, and I hope you can all prove me wrong, but I wouldn't look forward to the results tomorrow...

Watch, everyone will be ranting because the results aren't up tomorrow.

I too will be surprised if they're up by the end of the week.

Best Overall Experience


There will be 10 First Prize winners and 1 Grand Prize winner from each category.

That should mean 33 winners total.

Well I would hope we are all winners in one way or another? We did manage to get a host to come to our rooms and give us a purple flag. That to me makes me happy that I received a small prize. But I think we all will still get some participation prize anyways. I'm happy! :mickey:

That info was in the Newsletter either under "Yavn Speaks" or "Event Info" when the Gingerbread House contest was first announced. :mickey:

Nat_G and Demeter have recieved messages from VMK that they were judged but a flag was omitted from being placed in their rooms, hey, it happens. If you have not recieved a flag yet write-in to VMK by the "contact us" link and inquire.

Is that a list of all the participants or who's been judged?

It's the list of the people who have been judged that are on VMKF

It means they left without placing the flag down. They left out that step of the judging.

I saw in one of the gingerbread houses that HOST_Bella couldn't set the flag down in the room. She put in the person's room description that she took some ice out of the room and put it in another one of the person's rooms so she could put the flag down.

awww staff are so caring, taking the ice out and puttting it in another room. =)

I would send a message to Contact Us if you didn't get a flag, yet you got two confirmation emails. This means you should be in the competition and you should get a flag.

not that it is a big deal, but i posted that my room was judged and i am not on this list

I was in the same position as coolJamz, not judged after they were supposed to have finished. I sent a message via Contact Us first thing Monday morning and I am now the proud owner of a purple flag. In this case Contact Us did work, so I recommend you do the same if you have not been judged yet :)

Yay for you, Jezi! Hopefully Jam will get the same result - I've had my fingers crossed! And believe me, it's hard to type that way.... ;)

I wonder if the other Host would do the same things? Your advise to contact the staff about it is the best thing to do. Good Luck everyone. I know I won't win I have seen some great room but is was fun to play.

Het Cooljamz! Gymgirlmary is in the same boat. I registered. Received confirmation e-mail from Host. I sent complaint in the comments section. Received note back saying the event had 2000 participants and I never registered. Sounds like someone messed up on their end. Oh well. I should expect this. It's frustrating to work so hard on a project and not even be noticed as a participant but like I said earlier the same thing happened when a did a ride for the space race competition

omgif that happen to me i would hunt down yavn >_<' i mean after thousands of credits spent hours makeing the room anticipation to get the prize and u never get judged then for VMK just to brush it off like oh well :Exclamation:

I would go to a staff in the game, and explain it, you have the proof, so they can't deny you at least the prize for trying and the flag.

Yup, I saved my message, so they couldn't say I didn't sign up in time or not at all.

I saved mine too.I was told in a followup e-mail that I must have not registered correctly. It's amazing what an absolute idiot I must be to be capable of registering one character correctly and not the other.
