I was looking around my documents, and i came across this file:
(location is in: C:\Documents and Settings\[my name] )
it is called g2mdlhlpx.exe. I googled it and its a virus? What is this? Any help would be appreciated :(

I did, nothing came up. But I just want to be safe, i googled it and it came out to be like that or something...

I googled it, i think its a form of spyware. It says its low-danger, but follow Soufriere's advice and run some scans.

Has anyone made a signature for you recently? I once used a signature somebody had made for me here and whatever program they used had spyware in it. I deleted the signature and ran a scan to make sure my computer was clear of it.

It doesn't necessarily need to be an image that contains a virus. To be honest, it could be ANY kind of file.

And, I looked that one up, and it's a moderate spyware attack. Try to get Spyware Search and Destroy or something like that to remove it.

if its spyware, can i jsut delete it w/out it hurting my system?

I've heard of viruses that are released when you try and delete them, so yeah, use a safe program to do the dirty work @_@
