I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but when I tried to register for the Gingerbread House competition the Contact Us link said my information didn't fit my registration.
I have been a member of VMK since the first day of Beta. It may be because my daughter, who uses the same computer, signed up for Pirates of the Caribbean Online.
But I can't contact Disney to find out what the real problem is or how to fix it.
Can someone help? Yavn? Anyone?

I accidently did a similar thing when I signed up for Pirates on the Caribbean Online. If you used the same email, the information is switched to the other information that you used. For example, in Pirates Online, there were usernames other then just email (I don't know if there still are, but when I did there was) and when I tried to log onto VMK it wouldn't let me because I had changed the username to what it was on Pirates Online somehow.

Hope that helps. Good Luck :)

OMG! I have the same exact problem! When I tried their help think it gave me my Pirates Online name, so I tried that but that didn't work either. I have tried everything and I know I have the correct date, and nothing works! Therefore, I can't use Contact Us at all!

I could send in a message by saying I was a parent. I sent the message saying nothing worked, please help/tell me the correct info. That seemed to work.

I have the same problem. My username works, but my date of birth isn't working, when I know for a fact that I've typed it in right....

I'll try that sending as a parent. I hope it works.
Thanks

try logging in with the userid 'without' the @email appended. use your original birthdate as first registered.

That was what was happening to me, I logged into my "disney account" on the disneyland site, exited out of all of the screens then brought the contact us page back up and tried it again and it worked

I only use my Disney name that I have had since 1995 or so to register in VMK and nothing has changed on my part, certainly not my birthday.
It's only VMK that won't acknowledge my existance!
I did get through to VMK through the parents option but their reply was....stupid. I mean, really, does this even address the problem???

Hi there,

Just a quick email to let you know that we have received your email
safely.

If you were emailing about your child's account or even your own
account, you may find out the information you need now by going through the
VMK Help Tool using the relevant Disney Account Name (this is NOT the
same as the VMK Member Name and will be your email address if you are
over 13 years of age) and the date of birth registered to that account.

If you are recommending your child to be a Community Leader, please ask
him or her to apply through the VMK Help Tool. He or she will need to
follow the 'player' route to do this.

Thanks,

That is the same email I got, too. Sadly, it looks like Contact Us is dead for us.

Hopefully, they will follow up on that reply, but somehow I doubt it. Maybe if they get enough of these messages they might think about maybe thinking about doing something. Or maybe not.
At least we can keep each other company on the side lines, sunnyskye. :)

I'm glad I don't have a weird case, where I am the only one with a problem! lol I hope give a gift is different and we don't have to use Contact Us, because I want to give out a lot of gifts!

My dad had the same problem last night. He was trying to register and it kept saying the info. was invalid; like y'all, his birthdate didn't just up and change so something was messed up with the Disney sites. And yup, he too had used the same email to register for Pirates Online back in Beta. I tried fiddling with it and finally once I closed all Disney sites and waited a few minutes, it worked and he was able to register. Sounds like he was one of the lucky ones to have the problem go away.

I hope this gets fixed for you all soon! And I'm sorry if it kept you or someone you know from registering for the contest. :xcry:

Rawr, still got this problem >_<
I've tried doing what everyone is saying, signing in on the Disneyland Page and then closing it all, but no luck.
SorcererDonald16, what exactly did you fiddle with on the Disneyland site?

While there, I noticed my birthdate, it was exactly the same as it has always been, and exactly the same as I'd been typing in, and so was my member name...

Luckily the give-a-gift thing is going to be available in game, we can just buy the gifts and write what we want to in the boxes and then give them, through trading, to our desired friend. :)

Sorry I'm slow to respond. What I did was helped him go to the main Disney accounts page and try to retrieve the info. that way and see if they had his birthday wrong, but that was totally unhelpful as it doesn't give that info. Finally I just closed all the windows out and shut my internet down altogether. Waited a few minutes, started the internet up again, and miraculously the Contact Us page worked again.

I hope by now it's working for you for future use.

Here it is 11 days later and it still hgas not been fixed, even though I have tried to contact VMK through the parents link. (I AM also a parent so I do have a right to use that link.)
Has anyone had any luck getting this fixed yet? I tried to send a "reminder" message through the parents link and even that came back with an error message.
What is going on???

The odd thing is I didn't sign up for Pirates. My daughter did, using her account and her email address. She is also a VMK player.
The message keeps saying my birthday doesn't match.
I wonder if I should try her birthdate?
Gonna give that a shot.....nope that didn't work either.

Good News! It works today!
After many repeated tries to get some help from VMK, when all they would say is check the FAQs, it's finally fixed.
I guess it truly is a magical month.
Whatever. It's fixed and I can use the Contact Us button.
I hope it was fixed for everyone. We shouldn't be punished for signing up for Pirates of The Caribbean Online too.
