View Full Version : Ever wonder what's through a black hole in space?
Baconbits 12-18-2007, 06:21 AM What are the most puzzling questions that keep you thinking forever? If you have some . . post them and add what you think the answer might be. Maybe someone on vmk might know, or might have the same question. Have fun posting : )
Mine would most likely be : What happens when you enter a black hole? Do you just vanish? Do you enter a new solar system yet to be explored? Are there other life forms out there?
I think: I think when you enter a black hole you get transported into another solar system. I have no clue about the life forms!
Hey, I know this thread might be really cheesy but hey, it can be fun!
TheFireworkZach 12-18-2007, 06:24 AM Scientificly: The forces would probably be so high that it would just break you up into small molecules. There is no way to know that this is true as no one has really tested it from what I know of so I have no clue. Or, it takes you somewhere terrible, like the set of HSM. That would be a nightmare come true..

rotfl that was funny :D
Black Holes are amazing, but how do scientists have so much information on them if nobody has even gone anywhere close to one?
acenima 12-18-2007, 06:45 AM i think it would take you to a reverse universe and when you pop out the other way its like a white hole. and its like a mirror of this universe but different colors and different atmosphere and logic.

you mean a Parallel Universe?
Penguinz 12-18-2007, 07:41 AM Well, it's similar to Ace's. I've heard this idea before. Whenever you do something on earth, a "clone" of you does the same. It's like a double Earth. Either it's this, or they do the opposite.
It could happen ;)
PSavvy 12-18-2007, 07:50 AM Don't want to explain my real answer, so an alternate:
You will go right through it.
Blossomflower 12-18-2007, 08:09 AM Ooh. This thread is giving me the chills.
Penguinz, that's creepy.
So what if I did a crazy dance right now? What if my "clone" does the same crazy dance... in front of its crush?! Sorry clone! ROFL
I've always wondered what would happen if you go inside a black hole... It's like... a portal to nothing O_o... how can it hold all the things it's eaten up?
I've always thought you go inside the black hole, then you disintegrate into tiny little bits.
But... I've always thought that there might be a different world in there. A parallel world. Like mario brothers. LOL
Why don't they throw a video recorder tied to a cord with a flashlight taped to it inside the black hole? Then pull it out XD
Ehhh but that's probably impossible. LOL
Or, it takes you somewhere terrible, like the set of HSM. That would be a nightmare come true..

ROFL ya...
What if.. what if... it turns you into a barbie doll, into a plastic world, and wherever ya go, you hear "I'm a barbie girl in a barbie world!"
- twitch - LOL
Silly Princess 12-18-2007, 08:13 PM You should watch a show on the History Channel called "The Universe"; I saw an episode last week or so about black holes, and it even went into theories about white holes and wormholes. Very interesting, and educational.
jamiewe 12-18-2007, 10:41 PM ya well basically in a black hole you evaporate into thin air like you just disappear and the one about are there different life forms out there well yes i dont know if you know but space is very vast hmm how should i explain this...
i know! if you look at the cosmos well you cant anyway if you were in space and went out of galaxy there are other galaxys and if you go even more out there are more and even further are the cosmos (idk i may be wrong i got confused lol i know just cant describe it lol) anyway when you look from the cosmos there are other galaxys in each cosmo anyway my point is, is our planet earth the only planet out of the whole of those galaxys and stars and cosmos and planets and gas giants that we are the only one containing life? you will not believe how big space is! it is HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you should see the show called Space: with sam neil i have it on my computer it is awesome ;):142::gameboy:
CookyHalie 12-18-2007, 10:45 PM my biggest question i think about would have to be is there life out in space that we haven't found.. i mean in another galaxy maybe there is a whole other planet that is the future of us.. or something like that :D
I also had a dream that pink and the brain(the old cartoon) made another planet and they took over everyone's brain except mine.. i was their minion.. lol. :) so maybe there is a planet that looks exactly like earth and has the same features..
jamiewe 12-18-2007, 10:47 PM well yes there is a planet in real life that looks like earth and has the right conditions to contain life i think the planet was called gleish something i made a thread of it and btw it is pinki and the brain :D lol
CookyHalie 12-18-2007, 10:52 PM well yes there is a planet in real life that looks like earth and has the right conditions to contain life i think the planet was called gleish something i made a thread of it and btw it is pinki and the brain :D lol
Lol im to lazy to look it up i just remember looking at the show watching it an maybe drooling.. I was young!!!O_o well anyway i read your thread but i mean that is in another galaxy.. and i mean it would be cool if we actually mat another human creature thingy..
Jacques 12-18-2007, 11:27 PM Who ever said that has to be anything on the other side of a black hole? It is a condensed star that no light can escape. It is purely a one way gravitational well. Even if you could survive the fall into a black hole, there would be no way to ever send a message back out stating that you are alive.
Oh, and the planet you referred to is called Gliece 581 C. It is not identical to earth. Also, it cannot be seen directly from the earth, so there is no way to tell what it looks like. All scientists can determine is that it falls within the temperature range to contain liquid water.
PaperClip 12-19-2007, 05:53 AM I don't know that much about black holes, all I know is, what they are. Just a star that has burnt up. But, gravity in the black hole, is so strong that light can't even escape.
If that made no sense to you, it didn't me either. I just copied it directly out of my science book.:FLipToungeSmilie:
Blossomflower 12-19-2007, 05:58 AM Even light can't escape.... so that means if you throw something in there and pull it back with a cord, it won't work? Shucks. LOL
I wonder what's in there.
- imagines flying bones, and a cackling witch on a bike -
O_o
PaperClip 12-19-2007, 06:00 AM Don't ask me. I read the entire chapter in my science book about space and things like that. I'm off to Wikipedia now
EDIT: Lots of good information. :D http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_hole
Blossomflower 12-19-2007, 06:34 AM OHHHH.... hey the wiki is helpful, I learned stuff that I never found out 'til now.
LOL
rockclimbing 12-19-2007, 03:16 PM we talky bout worlds arent we?
Elmos world!!!
( walk through blackhole and you enter elmos world! )
or you disappear and nothing happens
jamiewe 12-19-2007, 05:17 PM The gravitational field of a black hole, is an extremely dense body, is so strong that nothing, including electromagnetic radiation, can escape from the black hole's immediate vicinity. The body is surrounded by a spherical boundary, called an event horizon, through which light can enter but not escape; it therefor appears totally black :D

Hah, that was good. Being transported into the movie would be even worse.
