What are some of the changes that Nick has made to DOW? I've seen some but I have no idea what they mean, and I'm having problems as well.
What I'm Confused On:
What's the "Patrol log"?
What's DPL?
When I look at recent changes, after the time it was done, it shows a number in parentheses, what does that mean?
When I choose a file name for the image I'm about to upload, a yellow circle with lines coming out of it flashes quickly, what does that mean?
What I'm Having Problems With:
When I make a new page, it gives the info I put in it, making the recent changes look bigger.
When I upload images it takes me 15 tries to upload a pic, because it keeps saying it's corrupt, this only happened once in a while before.
What Are The New Changes?:
What other changes are there besides adds in DOW?

Sorry I haven't posted info on this sooner. Nick made the changes late at night my time, and I didn't have a chance to followup.
What are some of the changes that Nick has made to DOW?
He upgraded the wiki to the latest version of MediaWiki and installed a few modules. The most significant of the modules was one that allows us to change the name of accounts (as you've noticed, I'm sure. :D), the ability to include google advertising, better google indexing, and "Dynamic Page List" (DPL) which lets us create pages that consist of other pages that are automatically included based on conditions (I'll explain more in a bit).
What's the "Patrol log"?
I'm not sure. Sysops have the ability to mark articles as "patrolled", which I assume is supposed to indicate that we have reviewed the article. We don't bother with this, but I guess that articles that we write are automatically patrolled.
Nothing to worry about.
What's DPL?
I'll discuss this more in another post, but basically its a way to automatically generate some contents. Look, for example, at the sandbox and at the Checklist page and look at the source and you'll see most simple way it works.
There is a lot we can do with it - so don't go overboard yet! There are things about it we need to discuss.
When I look at recent changes, after the time it was done, it shows a number in parentheses, what does that mean?
We think thats the number of characters that were added (or removed) from the article. It gives us an indication how much has changed.
When I choose a file name for the image I'm about to upload, a yellow circle with lines coming out of it flashes quickly, what does that mean?
Got me. I think it was just something to tell people to wait a moment while it filled in the destination filename default. No clue why it feels it needs to do that, however.
When I make a new page, it gives the info I put in it, making the recent changes look bigger.
I saw that. I didn't have the same problem when I created 6 new pages this morning, so I'm not sure what you did wrong. Did you put text in the summary and preview it?
When I upload images it takes me 15 tries to upload a pic, because it keeps saying it's corrupt, this only happened once in a while before.
Don't know about this one.
