This may have been posted before, but I am proud to annouce that the Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer is adding two more books to the saga! There titles are Breaking Dawn and Midnight Sun.
I'm not sure what Breaking Dawn is about, but Midnight Sun is Twilight in Edward's point of view. It's all very exciting!
I have also found out that a movie is coming out way, too! Twilight AND New Moon are going to be coming out as movies very soon. Twilight will being coming next year and New Moon will be coming in 2010. Robert Pattinson, also know as Cedric Digory from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, will be portraying Edward. Kristen Stewart, played Lisa in Zathura and Jess Soloman in the Messengers, will be Isabella Swan.
Get excited fans, it's coming!
Here are some articles from Wikipedia and Stephanie Meyer's website. (I've checked other websites, this information is true!)
Twilight was first optioned by MTV Films, Paramount Pictures, Summit Entertainment and Maverick Films, although this deal lapsed in April 2006. Apparently the original script was not up to standard, and Meyer simply said no. It was then optioned by Summit Entertainment. For fifteen months Summit retained the rights to buy it. While Stephenie Meyer has a wish list on her official Twilight website of actors to play parts in the possible film, she has little influence on the movie's production. Any new developments will be announced on Meyers' website. Catherine Hardwicke has signed on to direct the film, while Melissa Rosenberg has signed on to write the script. [4]
On November 16, 2007, Summit Entertainment, along with Stephenie Meyer announced the casting of Kristen Stewart as Isabella Swan. On December 11, 2007, it was also announced that Robert Pattinson will portray Edward Cullen.[5]
Los Angeles, CA December 11, 2007 – Summit Entertainment announced today that Robert Pattinson will star as “Edward” in the highly anticipated feature film production TWILIGHT opposite Kristen Stewart. The thriller-romance, based on Stephenie Meyer’s publishing phenomenon, is slated to begin production in February 2008 with Catherine Hardwicke directing a script by Melissa Rosenberg (STEP UP). Karen Rosenfelt (DEVIL WEARS PRADA) and Greg Mooradian will produce along with Mark Morgan via his Maverick Films banner.
Erik Feig, Summit Entertainment’s President of Production, stated, “It's always a challenge to find the right actor for a part that has lived so vividly in the imaginations of readers but we took the responsibility seriously and are confident, with Rob Pattinson, that we have found the perfect Edward for our Bella in TWILIGHT.”
Robert Pattinson most recently starred in LITTLE ASHES as the young Salvador Dali. Pattinson is best known for his role as Cedric Diggory in the recent box office successes HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX and HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE.
***A note from Stephenie about the casting of Robert Pattinson:
I am ecstatic with Summit's choice for Edward. There are very few actors who can look both dangerous and beautiful at the same time, and even fewer who I can picture in my head as Edward. Robert Pattinson is going to be amazing.
I can't wait!
