Agreed...

Though I don't know, why am I agreeing? I doubt I'll get through the first level XD But yes I agree, I'd rather get through this on my own so I know I earned the prize.

I agree.
I doubt I'll get through that maze though. I'm busy on Friday and Saturday. :(
Thank God of Sunday, but that's when I have to do all my homework...

Let's keep those prizes rare, and then with our superhuman brains we will all right down the answers, keep them to ourselves, and use them on twenty mules.

I disagree as well, not everyone has hours and hours to play VMK. I have a mid-term next week and really need to study, not try to figure out the way 20+ times through a maze, even though I really want the prizes. Also, I'm worried about the wait times, so plz only do the maze once and dont use your mules.

OT: Good luck with your midterms.

And now that I'm thinking about it, I would really love to figure it out by myself, but I doubt I will... If someone posts them I might check them out for help, but I highly doubt I'll use them exactly. But I don't know... I'm kind of indifferent about it now

i totally agree for not telling the way through the maze. it sort of takes out the fun from accomplishing it on our own. :)

not to be mean, but I don't there is going to be spoliers for the HMG. It's supposed to be like a Pac_man style game at least that's what I read off another fan site.so we won't have to worry about it!

Danola, you made me wonder........is the maze going through regular peeps rooms or just staff? Does anyone know?

The maze is going through a lot of rooms. I saw some of them tonight. The three rooms (which I believe were maze related) were a CL's and regular person.

I would hesitantly agree to no spoiler under certain assumptions.

It's a limited event. People will wait in long lines before getting into the room. If the maze is windy and narrow, people will unintentionally (slow connections, chatting, brief afk) block teleporters or halls. I would then want answers or clues to get through all this mess.

But a spoiler may not speed up this annoyance. It may simply encourage most of us out of greed to rush through it, then grab a mule. Without a spoiler, some of us may figure it out and get mules, while the rest retry. So whether or not there is a spoiler. If people really want to, they will repeatedly try the maze whether its the same character or not.

Maze games in vmk from my observation are chock full of problems. Just putting a prize at the end frustrates players to no end. I'm willing to say no to spoiler on principle and to keep the prize rare (i.e. I have time to be invmk awhile, and sorry for the rest that dont).

I would put a thumbs up to posting spoilers. If people don't want to look at them, then you can be chivalrous and not look at the answers. If you don't have the time, or don't want to waste the mental energy to figure out the mazes, then you still can get a "prize," whatever it may be.

We've set a precedent with the Airlock Escape game. The solutions are already posted here on the forums, and the last time I looked there isn't an uproar against them. I mean, they're a "maze" per say...and they have a prize at the end!

I tend to take a very liberal stance when it comes to these things. I've entered in a discussion about this on the Dis, and I believe there think sharing and helping is a great way to build community and to make VMK more enjoyable for everyone. I personally don't see how justifying no spoilers to "keep the item rare" is helping the community. I see it as the opposite...it's adding another level of elitism which as everyone knows, is VERY harmful to the VMK social balance.

Personally, I won't post spoilers. I couldn't cause I'd never remember the way! :p
That's not to say that I wouldn't use them if the were posted. But I'd really rather find my own way thru them, even tho I can't do them well.

You know if we say any spoilers about the event, they can change everything right before our eyes! Good Luck Everyone!

Spoilers will of course be posted, because that is the nature of this board and the VMK community and just part of the game - and we all have choice whether or not to use them.

Personally, I wouldn't be mad if someone did because I'll be mineral hunting all weekend until the very last hour of the contest on Sunday and I wouldn't mind the help!

i think that people posting answers is fine

if you don't want to see the spoilers you don't have to. just ignore them. it's really your choice.

if people want to get answers because they truly need help, i don't think that we should stand in their way at all.

At least motivate yourselves to be challenged and have patience take on the maze with your own wits and skills. But always ask for help for a few clues or hints if all hope seems lost but you don't have to be so dependent on the spoilers. Have fun and do the maze on your own, then if you must (though I'd encourage you to try again) ask for help but please don't look at any spoilers before you attempt a new game for the very first time. i don't mind giving a few hints here and there but i'd like see players say that they accomplished it with their own skills

Why let other people complete the maze for you. If you are not going to play the game yourself, maybe you should not play. Just my opinion. (keep trying even if you don't get it over 20 times. Don't quite and give up. If you really wanted the prize you should not just throw in the towel and say "give me the answers" If you don't get it, Wait for the next event.)

I agree. :mickey2:

Not that I don't want them to be posted just...
If the stafff finds out that we have been posting spoilers they are going to get really upset. Don't you think and they well be complaining to the ADMIN and MODS not exactley you which could get you into alot of trouble.(Just my thoughts)
