:xgrin: There used to be that during this time of the year you could send for some credits presents to your friends through the "contact us "button on the home page. In 05' the gift was christmas wreaths and 06' was magenta candycanes. I sure wish they'd open up that option again @_@. Now i have to figure out what im going to get my friends for christmas on vmk lol.

They might just have not started it yet, with all the new releases.

I wasn't aware of this tradition and have already told all my friends i will be giving out gifts at my Christmas Theme room on either Eve or Day. I will keep a watch on this tradition in the newsletter.

I've taken part in this for the last two years. It's really a fun and anonymous way of going about gift giving and such a surprise to see them pop up in your inventory :) I've talked about this with friends a few times and we are all hoping they don't break this give-a-gift tradition.

I hope they do that. I was a n00b then and didn't know about that.

I only got one gift last year and none the year before haha... but I hope they do it again.

i wish they would change it a bit though - as in, let the person know WHO sent you the item. i caught so many people in lies last year (i knew who sent me the ONE item i got, yet about 15 said it was from them) it was unbelievable. if you didn't get anyone anything, so what? why lie. so yeah, i'd like the person giving it to get credit.

I do hope the re-open this option again.

I sure hope they do this again! I can't always find my friends good gifts on vmk, so the give-a-gift is always a great thing for me!

:xhuh: They may have very well opted to not do the gift-exchange this year. I think they had a few too many problems in past years, like people Not getting gifts sent, or credits deducted and gifts sent to incorrect accounts.. the complaints went on and on. I would be glad to see this 'tradition' return when VMK irons out all the kinks. :xsmiley:

Besides, it would be a heck of a lot better if all one had to do was highlight a person on the friend list and then click the 'Send Gift' button (that would only be available during the holidays).

AND..it would also be especially nice to Know who sent the gift, so we can say Thank You! :xgrin:

i think this was one of the most brilliant things vmk has come up with for the game yet (along with the quest machine). this gives it so much more of a personal touch its awesome.
