it goes pretty fast at the beginning because of dc/people dropping out but it will settle down. The line is probably over a 1000 now so there is no way anyone who gets in line now will make it.

at first. However as the event goes on everything starts to s-l-o-w d-o-w-n. Unfortunately, by the end of the pin trading event it will be more like 2-3 players every five minutes. Oh well, there's always next Saturday!

Yeah, the HKDL Hotel isn't as rare as the White Castle pin, but it's still fairly rare (or was until today lol). About as rare as the other pins in that set (the land pins).
I think the HKDL pin will be about the same as the Californian now - the Californian was available last month as well.

I have came from the upper 600's all the way down to 544 in the past 20/30 minutes so I doubt I will make it but I think I am going at a decent pace.

aww that stinks about being dced. i had a lag getting into the room. i clicked right away but then it took a good 30 seconds to actually get the screen to load. so i started at 124. if anyone is ahead let me know what the pins are. i hope they are some only holiday ones. :-)

so was i...i was hoping she would start the holiday pins. or even pirate ones because of the release of the movie earlier this week. oh well i still need candy canes. im not big on the hotel pins.

it was crazy trying to get in. the list showed 60 in queue, then jumped to 158 and topped the list. when i hit enter, it showed 365 and was dropping quick. i got the pass, but now i'm hovering around 240. doubt i will get in, and i was hoping to get into at least one of these trades by years end.

what usually happens is you get on a ride and wait in line. she will take the next person and people usually have time to choose which pin they want while in line so the trade goes far. but sometimes people have lag and a trade can take a little longer. also sometime the words are not accepted so it sometimes takes a player a while to "say" which pin then want. for instand you can not say floridian so i had to come up with a way one time to distinguish that from another pin that had grand in the title...i think i ended up saying grand floor...or something...lol. but there are a lot of factors that affect the reason this event is so slow...the biggest being that trades take a long time to go through all the windows. but the hosts make it as organized as possible. :xsmiley:

and now we have an hour and ten minutes left.

It was?! I don't see it listed on the picture someone posted (page 6). The only HKDL one I see is the Hotel one, which is different than the one that is referred to as "white" (with the castle on it). Did she end up adding it? Hmmm...

No, it was the hotel pin I'm fairly sure. It's considered the "white" hotel pin because they got the one in the pin series as well. I freaked when I first saw someone say it as well. It should probably be referred to as the white HKDL hotel pin, since the white hkdl pin is generally accepted to be the castle pin.

Does your cursor change when you hover over the buttons, you can usually tell by that if you have dc'd or not.

That's for sure, pray that new people don't have common sense and get one of the other pins because they look nice.
