I guess so, that's usually how it works with a "send to a friend" kind of option. Only problem is that they have to join for you to get points.

ok thanks because I refered somebody i know 3 days ago and they said they never got an email, which is why im asking if it even DOES send an email

If the people you referred do not get an e-mail then just have them sign up with the Name and E-mail Address that you referred to. When the account is created and they login- then the points will be added to your account.
