I need this pic uploaded by SpinMarty deleted. We started uploading the new images of items that are different in the VMK inventory. I tried to re-upload a pic of the old one for the new one, but I didn't realize that the old image had the wrong name, and it made a new page for the new one. So, after uploading a new image with the letter "O" at the end of the file name, there was no need for this image anymore. Here's the link of the pic that needs to be deleted:

I think we should wait until we have the WHOLE story before we do anything. You say the names were changed before the prizes were given out, however, it was posted here (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1893534&postcount=38) and we were given the following photo as proof:

I would also be interested in seeing some screen shots with the new name as well.

Once we get this all sorted out, we need to make sure the information is updated and that this mislabeling is noted properly on the wiki pages.

For some reason, I guess I must have instinctively know something strange was going on because when these item pages were added in the first place I was very leary. To me it felt like speculation. Just because the newsletter says an item is titled one thing, doesn't mean that it is the true item name (take the Blue Surprise Present as a great example). I think if anything we learned from this whole situation that we must take what the newsletter says with a grain of salt and stick to what we have been trying to do and what we have been emphasizing....focus on the facts.

I didn't know that it was called blue when it was red. So yes, we should keep the pages, since it was called that before. I'll see if I can get a friend to post a pic name.

Regarding the Winter Jacket and Beanie, I think a full history is in order (not in table/notes but on the page itself. I think we should use the picture here (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1893534&postcount=38) and perhaps the imgae in this (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1894986&postcount=272) post (if we get permission that is) plus links to the newsletter. Also, I reworded the notes because instead of modifying what we had, you added a new note and it was a bit redundant.

Thank you for pointing this out. However, for the time being, my major concern with duplicate images would be two editors adding an image with the intention of using it in the same spot. This mainly occurs when there is something new and editors are racing to get the wiki updated. Examples of these kinds of duplicate images include two screen shots of the same new public room or two images of a male VMK character wearing a new hat.

VMK tends to use the same images over and over but in different applications. As we never know how or when VMK will reuse an image it is very difficult to keep their "stock" images organized and labeled in a manner that make it practical to retrieve and reuse these images. The "photo hints" used for the quests are a great example of this. VMK regularly reuses these images in their quests but we often upload the images for each quest seperately despite the fact that they are duplicates. It really doesn't make much sense to use an image titled: TronQuestTask3PhotoHint for the photo hint of task 10 in one of Hula's tasks.

As a result, I am leaving these image be for the time being. Looking at the two of them, I actually detect a slight difference in terms of cropping and image quality which gives me more reason to leave them alone.

I need to images deleted, due to them having the wrong file name, and there might be quests with the same name later on, which could really mess me up with making the quest pages lol :). The links are:
