THIS IS HAIRSPRAY THE VMK MUSICAL
(based on the 2007 movie)

story: The film, which takes place in 1962, is about
teenager Tracy Turnblad. Although in her own words she is 'pleasantly plump,' Tracy achieves her ambition of joining the regular dancers on The Corny Collins Dance Show, which airs daily in her hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. Once there, she has to deal with the constant "raggings-on" of rival dancer Amber von Tussle, who will do everything in her power to see that Tracy fails in her efforts. However, after referring to Tracy in front of Corny Collins as a "trash can," she is given demerit points and loses her on-air crush, Link Larkin, to Tracy. Tracy uses her newfound fame to champion the cause of racial integration and ends up winning the title of Miss teenage hairspray 1962.

I'm going to lift it up a little bit. I'm not only going to do ALL of the wonderful songs, but have some of the story line put into it as well! I'm going to NEED HELP to write the script to make a great G-rated, VMK friendly, verison of the broadway musical/movie.
