Does anyone have this Zelda game on DS? I saw it at Costco today and considered buying it, but a second opinion from someone who has played it would be helpful!

I have played the demo. And it is fun :D The controls you might have to get used to, though. I am hoping I MIGHT JUST GET IT for Christmas.

I did notice that it's primarily stylus-controlled. I don't know how skilled I am with the touch screen vs buttons. Do you know if you can still use buttons instead of the stylus to play?

Wendot I have compleated this game, so I can answear any questions...
1. No you can not use the controlers :( They make a refrence to that in one of the temples when a skelleton shouts (Oops, forgot I can't use the buttons ) The contorles our not that hard one you leave the first island you get pretty use to it.
2. It's easy, at point's but if your a fan of Zelda you will enjoy alot of it. Also with the ship part, Power stones, Wisdom stones, and Deffese stones, stones, collecting it has a ton of replay vaule!

Thanks PezDude. I've never actually owned a Zelda game, but I've played one before on Gameboy and Nintendo 64. I'll have to ponder over it some more.

So on the spur of the moment while at Best Buy, I bought DK Jungle Climber because I love past DK games for other consoles. I never played the GameBoy version before though and I realize it's different.

I haven't taken off the plastic wrap yet if anyone has words to share on the DK game!

Last week my son got a copy of this game for Wii, he loves it, he plays as much as he can (he has limits of time per day)
There is a promotion offering a limited edition gold ds with this game.

Are we still talking about Zelda? I ended up returning the DK game when I read some not-so-great reviews.

I may buy Zelda next time I'm at Costco or just ask for it for
Christmas.

Okay when I first heard about this Zelda I was a bit iffy. The whole stylus only formal thing kinda scared me. But once you get used to it, using the stylus is like so much fun. All day I'm saying "I'm going to go home and play Zelda!"

It is centered around the same basics as the other Zelda games. Saving the princess by going to the fire water and earth dungeons. But in this one they are kinda like pirates. Definatly interesting.

I reccomend this game 100%. It doesn't not disappoint.

I have the game (Zelda) and I'm hooked! I still need to beat it, I'm almost there.
But, yeah.. I don't get addicted to games easily, but this one proved me wrong.

I've played the whole game, and I can say that it's definitely worth buying. The touch screen system is very easy to use, as all you have to do is tap on a monster to attack it. True, there are more difficult moves later on, but by the time they come you should have no problem with them. The game has amazing (but not exactly realistic) graphics for a DS game, and the bosses are simply stunning. It's also got plenty of side quests to keep you busy. It might be good that you haven't played other Zelda games before, since this one is a lot less focused on battles and more on puzzles than previous games. The puzzles are difficult, but not so bad that you'll have to google answers every minute. I highly recommend this game as a late Christmas gift for anyone who hasn't already gotten it. ;)

I have also played through it and recommend it. Apart from the main quest, there are a bunch of secrets on islands that you can go back to (if you're like me and like doing that) and mini-games. However, if you have played through Twilight Princess or Ocarina of Time, you'll find that it's not as much in depth as the others. You can beat a dungeon in about 45-60 min. But that doesn't mean the game's not short, it still is a pretty good length but not a 40 hour one. The graphics are good and the controls are great, they really nailed it. Even if you have never played a Zelda game, you should still check this game out. It's the best technology for the DS right now.

well im old school, but just for you wendot- i asked a friend who has the game.
He said it was very fun- a little tricky to get used to the controls- But he said he would reconmend it to all fans of zelda and people who like a good time.
well that's his review- don't ask me, im still playing one of the first zelda games( and im talking gameboy color)- and it owns!
now to find out where i last put it....

Well, the game is good, but if you're a hardcore gamer, you MIGHT want to skip this. The controls lean over more to the casual area, and without the option to go buttony, hardcore gamers can't go hardcore.

hardcore gamer: aka: addicted

casual:aka: no..........

in between: aka: where you want to be <_<

but yeah it's a good game, not as hard as other zelda games but still fun
