I was on vmk today I got a massage from the vmk staff sayng if i give my personal informaton i would get banned. But the thing is i diddn't say anything for do anything.

Staff usually send a message to the entire room. I wouldn't worry about it, but just in case, send a message to Contact Us explaining your situation.

When see anyone giving out personal information, i usually leave the room. Just to be safe. Sometimes staff ban people when they didn't do anything.

I'm sorry to read that Captain... :( it happened a lot lately. You get ban bc other is giving out personal info or using bad language :(
You have to run away from that kind of chat everytime you believe something isn't safe for you. I've learned now.

I would try pleading your case to Contact Us. If all you were doing was standing in the room and not getting involved in the conversation, I think that is an unfair ban. My suggestion: send a message to Contact Us!

As has often been pointed out over the past two and a half years on this site: staff record ALL chat. ALL of it. Bans are performed based on chat recorded and viewed. Bans are reviewed by other staff.

Claiming you did nothing does not fly well here. Writing to contact us is the proper thing to do, but do so with realistic expectations. Bans have been reversed in the past, but bear in mind all you might really end up with is an explanation of exactly what you said to be warned or banned.

Bottom line: you don't get banned for nothing. That simply doesn't happen.

You get caught in a room ban with other people's conversation while you're afk. That happens. Upon review, it's lifted. (happened to me)

Well, It happened to me.

You don't get banned for no reason. VMK doesn't randomly decide to ban people who have done nothing wrong.

There is always a reason - whether it be a 'good' reason or not may be debated, but there is a reason nonetheless. Even someone saying something in a room that would cause the entire room to receive a ban. Not that I would agree that this would be fair to the players, but you can't say that there wasn't a cause and a reason for that ban.

The other night i got a message like: "Doing inappropriate things are not allowed. Odd and Awkward. I did nothing btw. I told my friend that and she was like "What were you doing?!" Hahahahaha... 0_o
