Friend code? Hmm . . I'm not positive about my answer but this is what I think: Make sure you and your friend have Both DSs Turned on, then you can connect them with the game - I think by Download Play on the main screen when you press Power. It really depends on the game. Make sure you are near each other with the DSs, I think they won't work together if they are 15 feet apart.

Pokemon Diamond..

Simple, you need Wi-fi first. Next you need to go downstairs in a Pokemon Center. Then you get a Pal Pad, and connect to Wi-fi, then you get a FC.

Then you go to the new Pal Pad and select "(character's name)'s Friend Code".

go to the downstairs part of the pokecenter talk to the person in the middle then check your pal pad

and make sure you have wi-fi connection before you try this either from a nintendo wifi connector or a router

well I don't have a wifi connector or a router

you can always buy one a nintendo wi-fi connector costs about $40 usd(united states dollars) if you get a Wii the connector will work with that. just ask for one at any game retail store
