it won't be anything new. This seems to be a new trend with VMK. I imagine it's something buyable from It's A Small World Imports. I could be wrong, but I doubt it. ;)

Ok I suggest we all use contact us to suggest they bring back the host prizes and pns. This won't change unless we ask for it to be.

It's kind of hard to hear over the sound of all these players clamoring for chance to win a snap shot of a virtual nobody in sepia tones.

It's really not cool. It's a waste of time. Host games have always been a flawed and poorly executed idea, but without offering an actual prize, what's the point? Why waste everyone's time? Couldn't the staff members be better utilized? How about doing some actual moderating, some supervising, some helping, some judging.. something? Go out among the people! If this is the direction Host responsibilities are headed, why even staff Hosts? Let's save a little room in the budget and sink it into bug fixes and bigger servers. Or how about replacing them with people who possess some sense of customer service? That'd be swell.

I mainly go to the host games to see the host, see the room, and see other peeps. I think it is a great idea if they can't give out prizes - pictures on the wall is fine. Pirzes? Would be nice.. but I am ok with it. :)

Am I way wrong when I think that disney has cut waaaaaay back on the VMK budget? It seems as though they spend very little time/labor on creating new items anymore. Yavn is like completely AWOL for weeks and weeks at a time. VMK centrals get closed down and in-park quests are finished for good.

VMK can't make Disney any money off it and it's not drawing more people to the parks and therefore they won't invest in it. Therefore, fewer prizes, fewer new minigames, fewer host games, no more promotions, etc. VMK will still be around, not as good as it used to be.

Just my personal belief from what I see.

Maybe next time I go to the fair and play the games I can get a picture with a carny instead of a stuffed animal.

P.S. - Bald - does it really cost more to give out something already made at least?

I would have to say this would be one of my least favorite staff events (maybe only better than those 'take-a-picture-of-staff' deals).

Now I'm not sure if I have my information right, but when I was in one of Host_Hula's rooms last month, I think I heard her say that VMK central would be coming back to the "parks in real" in January. Don't take my word on that, but I think that is what I read. I was trying to get through one of the transporters so I was a little preoccupied. Hopefully that information is true, because that would be great! :nemosmile

If Disney wanted to they COULD make money off of VMK. I'm certain that some people won't mind paying for playing cards, heck they already do. I don't know why they started neglecting VMK but it could be a GREAT game!

yeah you can already buy codes for pirate stuff that they sell in the parks. and they are not cheap if you ask me.

I didn't do this event, but this is absurd. I might sound greedy, but no special host prize or pin, again?!?! This stuff is just getting me farther, and farther away from signing into VMK. The old VMK was a lot better. Yavn gave us a weekly newsletter, which today we get about a weekly three month newsletter. It's good to recycle (Gotta keep my world clean;)) but I think the staff thinks it good in a virtual game, and as far as I know, it doesn't help our enviroment. :rolleyes:

Also, the blue/red presents to the right of the screen are a shade or two off from the red/blue ALR presents currently being sold. Perhaps these items will be released sometime this month.....?

Once you win and your picture is on the wall. when will you get to see it again? Can you go in the room anytime you want to see it. I guess not. So why do we want to spend all this time waiting for just a picture. Oh well, back to toontown, Lol

I hope more presents are release - It would go good with the christmas room i trying to do. i don't know if anyone already noticed, but the green ALR present with the yellow ribbon is in the Alice ride. It's behind the other two colors in the Merry Unbirthday Room. I hope they release it! It would be really cool! :Madhatter_bounce:
