For some reason on vmk, I am unable to access my character. I went to the Disney.com site and looked into my profile and it seemed correct. So, I changed my user name and then when I tried to access my player, I got the start page of creating a new character. It did not ask for my birthday or any information. I don't get this. Well, right now I cannot access anything on my account,so it seems like this account on vmk will no longer be.

I don't know if I will be returning to vmk or not. If someone hacked into my account and stole it then hope they will be happy with it. So, until things get straightened, you will not see MamaJo on vmk. All my friends I will miss you but I do hope that this will be recovered. (I don't have any hope of this being that it is vmk and you know how that goes.I) I will probably go on the formums occasionally to keep up on what is happening.

Were you inactive for more than six months?? If so then VMK deletes your account. Sorry to hear about this though! Maybe contact VMK? But if you weren't active for six months, your account is gone.

she is on my friends list and i just checked when she was last on and it says the last time she was on was monday. so I don't think vmk delted her account. I hope this is just a bug of some sort and it wont last long cause I know she has a lot of stuff you can't get anymore and something were gifts from people.

So, for now Goodby VMK.Since your username is your email address, if you delete your old address on the Disney web site you may not be able to access your character. I've gathered that changing an address is safer than deleting one, but I'm not completely sure about that. Safest of all would be simply starting an additional Disney account with your new address, without deleting your old one. I've heard some people report that changing their address has not caused any problems, but others have said that it did.

Your character is most likely still there. If you phone Disney Guest Services, they should be able to fix the problem.

No, I didn't change my address it was just my password. When I looked up my account under Disney.com it had my correct address there. Also, when I clicked on "forgot user name" I received an e-mail with all the users assigned my account and it was there.

Now, whenever I try to log onto my player using the regular sign-in and password like before I get that new character that was created somehow.

How about clicking the "forgot password". Maybe you accidently used capitals or hit a different key when you changed your password. Worth a try. After that I would ask Contact Us if anything can be done. State clearly and concisely exactly what you did and maybe they might be able to sort it out. Good luck :)

Well, received a reply from VMK_Sparky that said my user name and password was the original one that I used when I registered with Disney in the beginning. I know it is the correct name and password. What they are not understanding is that when I went in to play my character, when I signed on it made an entirely new character under that name and password. Now, everything I use this I get the new character and have somehow lost MamaJo. They don't seem to understand.

Do your friends still have your title on their friend's list??

I am so sorry for all the trouble you are having. Sometimes they don't seem to get what you are saying. It goes in one ear and out the other. I had some problems awhile back but thank goodness we finally figured out the problem and I am back on vmk. Anyway, I tired explaining my problems and could they help in any way. Like you said, they just didn't get what I was saying and it was like they were talking in circles. They were all nice but that didn't get me back on vmk. Hope you get things cleared up really soon. Well the good thing is that you still can play as another.
I'm sure after you let everyone know about the change - word of mouth will spread and you will have most your friends back.
As many so often say on here that it's not the stuff you have but the friends that you've made that is the real magic of VMK.

Mamajo, You are still on my friends list..but I'm not sure what went wrong..just thought I'd let you know your account isn't deleted from what I know. Hope it gets straightened out.

Make sure you're using the correct e-mail address to sign in. You may have changed your VMK e-mail address, so try to think back.

did you try contact vmk and telling them what went wrong?

Not much advice I can give here, everyone seems to have given the best. Phone the VMK number, it will be lying around here somewhere. Also, don't get stressed, I say this to everyone who's account goes to the dark side, stay calm, if you're calm, you will get it back.

I really appreciate all the help I have received in this matter. I still go on every now and then under my second character--prettymadison. It just seems like MamaJo was part of me and now a part is gone. I know it may sound funny, but to lose MamaJo like this also left me with a decrease desire in playing now. I will continue to make contact with VMK, via E-mail and phone, until someone can tell me what happened. I know I didn't change anything in E-mail address or password. I played the game on 10/22 and then on 10/24 using the exact sign on and password it created a new character. It didn't even ask me for my birthday like it does whenever someone makes a new character. I knew something was out of the ordinary when I signed on that dreadful day and on the screen after it said connecting to server--it said downloading avatar character. I knew right then and there that something was wrong.

So, again, thanks to everyone who gave me help and inspiration. I won't give up and if you see prettymadison around, that is me. :38:

No Mamajo! It looks like the same thing that happened to me happened to you =(. VMK would not listen to me, but mayb you are more lucky. Even if not, rerember what you told me when my account was deleted and I was thinking about leaving?

OK, you can't leave. Who was with me all the weekend on the slide ride team marathon when no one else would? We were in this together and I won't let them get the best of you. So what everything got deleted? I will help to obtain the items you want. Rooms? you know I have still have some to give you and items also. It is not about how much you own or the best room awards, it is the friends that are still here and love you. On that infamous weekend we had a bond and it can never be broken. So, please, I am begging you to not do this because you will regret it. Create a new character and come back. Together we will work and get you even bigger and stronger than before. DON'T LET VMK WIN!!!!!!

when logging in, do not put the '@***.***' extension after your username. there have been reports that for some reason the front portion of the username remains intact, but the email portion gets dropped off for logging into vmk... after making changes or viewing your profile.

Recently I ran into this problem. My name at Disneyland, WDW, and ESPN was an email address. Now I am having to fight their company and am known as bluetoes and other names. I cannot get it to work right either. Finally I reset my password but am never sure if sweep hunter will die away because of Disney

It has to do with the new Disney system that does not use email address for names any more. Pain, crying, hissy fits and Disney does not care.

Hey wing--I lost everything. The character that it made is an entirely new character. I lost everything that I had accumulated.

Adventurebry--I remember what I told you and I will keep it in mind. It seems like when the shoe is on the other foot it is a different story, huh? I'm still on but will be on prettymadison instead. Look for me.
