Hannah Montana: The Movie is a planned film adaptation of the American children's television series Hannah Montana. It has been confirmed by Mitchel Musso, Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus. Its release date has not been announced. In TV Guide, Billy Ray Cyrus and Miley Cyrus stated that they can take time in spring of 2008 to film the movie. Miley Cyrus confirmed that the movie will be released in theaters and may be filmed in Tennessee.

In TV Guide, Miley Cyrus said that Billy Ray will produce the movie, and it will most likely premiere in the winter of 2008. Miley Cyrus stated that the producers and cast are making a script. No details on the plot have been released as of yet but it has been confirmed by Miley Cyrus that the movie will come out in cinemas rather than be a Disney Channel Original Movie. Country Weekly Magazine has reported that Dolly Parton, Heather Locklear, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson could make appearances in the film. Billy Ray Cyrus has also expressed a desire for Willie Nelson to appear.

okay, this is so.. stupid. i personally hate her too, but a movie? in cinemas? NO CHANCE a DCOM would be better. no one would take in a movie about a blonde ( or brunette ) girl who is way over in her head. The only good thing is that i like The Rock. Tat's it. Ony THAT.

Personaly, I do not like High School Musical. I like Hannah Montana much better, I've read in a few magazines about this. They are thinking of a movie - hasn't been offical yet. But, thanks for posting it! I'll keep my eyes open for more about it!

I think "The Lizzie McGuire Movie" went to theatres. I can't think of any other ones.

I don't know about this whole movie thing. It sounds okay but I think the show should save the movie for when it's ending. Personally I like the show but I don't think a movie is the best way to go. Maybe one on Disney Channel, but a theatrical release?

I started to LOVE hannah montana, but it is OK right now And for two good resons:

1. How can you put on a wig and not have people notice its really you?

2. IF they make a movie, its probably going to be about some one knowing her secret and she has to stop them from reveling it. And we should all know how that would end.

My thoughts too...what kind of plot is there for a movie? If the plot turns out to be her secret identity almost being revealed, I'm not going to bother with it at all.

LOL If i made a hannah montana movie my idea was there was another celebrity like her and like had a secret and all 'cause that would make sense for the TV show's genre.

you guys don't have freak out that it's "another dumb disney channel movie." How do you know it's dumb, you haven't seen it, have you? ;) I obviously like Hannah Montana and they did a great job on that one hour jake episode so i'm sure they can pull it off ;)

It's not the 3d thing they're talking about. If you read the whole article it stated that they haven't written the script yet and it's going to come out in late 2008

Hmm... I like Hannah Montana, but I'm not sure how it would do as a movie. Maybe similar to the Lizzie McGuire Movie, like she goes to europe or something? IDK lol. I'm curious to see what Disney decides to make of this!

The movie coming out in February is different. It is a digital 3D version of a concert in Salt Lake City on October 26, 2007. I think it will only be shown in IMax type theatres.

The movie is in theaters for one week, and the movie tickets are as hard to get as the concert tickets -.-

I wanted to see it.. but I'm not going to be able to because the tickets are so hard to get.

I doubt it. It is All of the concerts. It will not have Lily, Oliver, etc.

I'm going to the concert and I'm pretty excited to see the movie too, but I think all the times are sold out in my area already O.o
