Tonight the program of leaders ends.
I have read many posts on why the leader program should end but..
There were many that I know and have met that did a great job representing as a leader.
Thanks to all of you!
Nobody but you can understand the countless friend requests - stupid questions - and misguided worship that goes with the title.
These were players that put aside time out of their play time on VMK to help others with little to no thanks for it.
That ends here!

Nobody knows for sure where the leader program goes from here but I sincerely hope if you want to be a leader again - you get a fast pass to do so.

Good sir I totally agree with your hearty thanks to our CL_s (or those formerly titled as). It has been great knowing some of you and even watching you work with grace and patience. I wish you got to keep your badges as at least a reminder of what you have done for the game. Although, I also hope you get to enjoy your stuff now without being told that you are rich bc you are a CL.

Hi everyone. Thanks for all your kind words. I really enjoyed being a community leader and helping all of you. I hope everyone has fun in VMK. For those who will become leaders later on, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

I had forgotten about this and only realized it when I logged on and someone asked me what happend to my title...

The first post has it so right...all the friends requests - the misguided worship - all of that if gone. Although I did get called poor once because I wasn't a famous CL.

I'll be the first to admit I didn't always do the best job as a leader but I did try to make it a better place. There were others way better than me and ones WAY worse. I've meet some amazing people that I wouldn't have ever met without the program. I've enjoyed it but always felt they didn't use it to it's potential. Let's hope the next one is even better! :)

Why do some of us still have our CL_ titles? The badge is gone, but the title is still there.

i wish the community leader thing would go away forever.. some of the CL's are mean.. and some think they're better than everyone else cause of the CL in their names O_o

I think we owe the leaders a round of applause. I made a poem for you guys:

When I first joined,
Seeing you filled me up with joy.
I was selfish and all I wanted to do was be friends with you.
I liked you for your stuff,
(Man, this is making me blush)
And I liked you for the badge you wore,
And the CL title beside your name.
I followed you like it was a game.
I think you grew in shame.
I asked to be your friend a gazillion and 1 times.
And never stopped until you were a friend of mine.

Soon my thanks changed.
My feelings were all rearranged.
I began to realize,
On VMK, we're all the same.

And not for all the popularity either.

You put aside your free time to go on VMK, to help people play the game.

Thanks for your service that you have contributed to helping manage certain aspects of VMK.

I must admit that there were a few 'bad apples' out there, but I must say Good Job for the rest of you who helped that new guest on his way to making new friends and having fun on VMK, or even that older player to trade successfully with another.

Always love hanging around community leaders! I will always miss that :( But even though your not a ' community leader ' I will always thank you for being out there for all times on VMK! Thank you :)

Well I did feel left out - not having a weak reason to post here but...

I know there were a lot of good people that have been dismissed without a real reason.
Yes I have seen some of the posts here and elsewhere about those glad to see the program going away as it was.
Maybe it needed to be but regardless you cannot discount the friendship/guidance/and leadership many have given without much thanks.

Byes! Thanks to those of you who actually helped us. I'm glad that someone was around to help out some people when they needed it most! Have fun being a 'normal' virutal character. Hope it doesn't bug you as much as those of us who as too many questions.

For the past 2 1/2 years, I (along with countless others) have volunteered to assist vmk. To serve as a role model, mentor and a representative of staff/hosts to answer basic questions for players in the kingdom. I know that I wasn't the best leader out there; however, I tried to do the best job that I could.

Thank you to the countless people I've encountered over the years to make vmk a better place. Something that starts in the heart and works its way out.

Thank you VMK for allowing shy, quiet me, to reach out of my little box and grow as a person (in both real and virtual) while helping others in the process.
Being a leader has brought many happy self-less moments. Moments that I'm sure will continue, just in a different capacity.
