A Helping Hand
The Holidays! A speical time to relax,eat cookies and drink hot chocolate. Get warm by the fire and read a magazine or book. Exactly what I needed. An American Girl magazine to help me perk up! 'Wow' I think to myself look at all these articles on helping out charity. And look at me! Eating suagr cookies by the fire reading a magazine?! I should be helping out there. And that's where it started. "COAT DRIVE!" I held a sign up high. "Help out GoodWill charity by suppying coats for needy people!" my friend elizabeth shouted. Suddenly a brown haired women parked aloneside the road and came to us with a box full of coats. "Here you go girls. GoodWill and other people deserve this" WOW! There was about 50 coats in there. We appriciated her help and Thanked her kindly. Going to GoodWill a man in shattered clothing looked awfully cold. He was under a bus stop. Elizabeth and I knew what we needed to do. "Here you go, you deserve one."we said together. "Thha--nnnkkkk yyooouuu he said. Putting on the coat he smiled. And that brought a smile to my heart.
