Chapter 1
It was midnight. We were about to arrive at our new home. There was a freaky mansion next to us. That night in my bedroom, I looked at it, a tree blocked the way suddenly, and I fell to my feet. It was just a thunderstorm. I walked back to my window, and the mansion was facing me! I opened up the window, and climbed out. I tiptoed on the grass. I opened the door. "Hello?" I whispered as it echoed off the walls. I walked in, and the door slammed behind me. I brought my backpack and got a flashlight. I went upstairs, but the creak! of the stairs scared me. I tried to walk up the spiral staircase again. When I got to the top, I heard somebody humming. I ran into the room the humming was coming from, but nobody was there. I walked forward, and I tripped on something. I landed with a thump! I looked where the thing that tripped me was, but it wasn't there. It wasn't anwhere around the room, either. I walked out the room, and the voice yelled "Don't disturb me again!" I walked to another room filled with music, where the insturments were moving themselves. It also felt like the air was crushing me. I kept running towards the staris to get to the balcony. I walked outside, and somebody was out there. "Hello, what are you doing out at this time of night?" I asked. They turned around, and I found out it was a zombie! I ran down the stairs, out of the ballroom, and back onto the hallway, but when I started to walk towards the stairs, a strange creature was chasing me! It was huge. It looked like a fish with sharp teeth. It was slimy. Siliva was coming from his mouth. I knew that was a sign of danger. I kept running, and a floating table smacked it in the face. It whipered for a moment, then I heard a voice say "Bad mutant!" I then saw a white figure appear out of nowhere. "Ghost!" I said frightened as I crawled back towards the wall. "It's Ok!" she said. I ran through her, but she appeared at the staircase. "Listen, you were almost killed, and now you're running from someone who saved your life." I stood back up, shook my head to see if it was only a dream, and it was. The ghost wasn't there. "Only you can break the curse!" she told me from behind. I turned around and said "Ok."
Chapter 2
"So what is this curse?" I asked the ghost. "All of the ghosts have to stay within the mansion grounds. The zombies come over to visit sometime." "Like that one up on the balcony outside?" I asked. "Wait, there was a zombie here? They don't come until tomorrow." "Ugh, nevermind," I said. We kept walking down the hallway, and soon we were walking down the spiral staircase. "Stop," she told me. The floor rumbled, and a hole appeared, with more flights of stairs. We kept walking for hours. Then, we heard a growl. "What was that?" I asked. "Oops," she said. "What?" I asked. "Every year on October 1st, the monster is in the hidden room," she replied. We ran back up the stairs, but a herd of ghosts flew up the stairs. Pretty soon, the monster was eating the staircase. We couldn't get away in time, and got eaten. "Sick," I said as I wiped siliva off my arm. "Hit that," she said as she poitened to a round thing in his body. I walked over to it, and whacked it. Then, the movement stopped, and we shook. "I meant over there, not there," she said. Then the monster puked us back into the main room. "The only way I can describe this is-" "Gross," the ghost guessed. "Awesome!" I said. She stared at me, annoyed. "I was just kidding!" I told her. Though, I didn't notice the monster ready for breakfast. Then, turned around and turned toward a window, with some light coming out. I pointed at it, and the monster noticed. When the sun shined on it, it turned to dust. "Nice," she said being sarcastic. "But it's gone!" I told her. "100 years ago, a ghost noticed the light come out and shine on the monster. It turned to dust, and white tigers took them to the Underworld," she told me. My eyes turned wide, and I turned around to see the tigers. The opened a hole in the mansion floor that was green inside with tombstones, bones, and other scary stuff. They dragged me down into the Underworld, not in time for the ghost to get in.
